Top committed recruits in the 2024 cycle
Although most of the nation’s top recruits — about 75 percent — are still uncommitted as of late February, a handful have already come off the board. That includes some of the country’s top prospects in the On3 Consensus, with 17 of the top 50 nationally already pledged to a program. Among them are a quartet of five-star recruits, as well as some of the nation’s top quarterbacks.
As we head into the all-important month of March, here are where the top 10 committed prospects in the country:
5-star WR Jeremiah Smith – Ohio State commit
School: Miami (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna
On3 Consensus Ranking: No. 2
On3 NIL Valuation: $262K
Scouting Review: “Jeremiah Smith is a big, skilled receiver with fluidity and savvy for the position. Measured in at 6-foot-3, 185 pounds prior to his junior season. Had a breakout 2021 season, helping his Chaminade-Madonna team to a state championship. Turned in several strong performances, including a big state title game. Polished route-runner at this early stage. Smooth mover with some technical refinement that allows for separation. Shows good ball skills with his ability to track the football over his shoulder. Does not register as a top athlete in the combine setting at this stage. Can further take advantage of his size by continuing to improve his contested catch skills.”
5-star CB Ellis Robinson – Georgia commit
School: IMG (Fla.) Academy
On3 Consensus Ranking: No. 5
On3 NIL Valuation: $244K
Scouting Review: “Ellis Robinson IV is a ball-hawking defensive back with elite length and ability to make plays on the ball as a high school underclassman. Dominated competition in New York’s Catholic league as a sophomore, bringing in eight interceptions. Made several impressive, acrobatic picks. Has advanced ball skills as a cornerback, which he pairs with outstanding length. Measured in at 5-foot-11.5, 169 pounds with a 6-foot-7 wing-span prior to his junior season. Also tests as a very good athlete, running a 4.56 second electronically-timed 40-yard dash. Transferred to IMG Academy for his junior season and should see an uptick in competition as a high school upperclassman.”
5-star ATH Jaylen Mbakwe – Alabama commit
School: Pinson (Ala.) Clay-Chalkville
On3 Consensus Ranking: No. 9
On3 NIL Valuation: $198K
Scouting Review: “Jaylen Mbakwe is one of the more dynamic two-way athletes early on in the 2024 cycle. Stars on both sides of the ball for one of the top high school programs in Alabama. Has outstanding play speed, backed up by a personal best of 10.74 seconds in the 100 meters mid-way through his sophomore track season. Pulls away in the open field, easily out-running defenders. Dynamic with the ball in his hands both as a receiver and return man. Also shows the ability to separate on vertical routes. Returned several kicks for touchdowns. Also doubles as a productive defensive back, with high level ball production, totaling 4 interceptions and 12 pass breakups as a sophomore. Should he end up at defensive back, will need to continue honing his technical skills. Projects as one of the more electric athletes in the 2024 cycle.”
5-star LB TJ Capers – Louisville commit
School: Miami (Fla.) Columbus
On3 Consensus Ranking: No. 15
On3 NIL Valuation: $187K
Scouting Review: “TJ Capers is a longer-limbed inside backer who can cover, shed blockers and rush the passer all at a high level. Effective blitzer coming off the edge. Chases in backside pursuit to the ball carrier consistently. Not afraid to stick his face into traffic when playing in the box. Tested well this spring with an electronically-timed 4.62 40 and a 27” vertical. Three-sport athlete who plays basketball and participates in track and field. Checks every box for the inside backer position and has an enormously high floor and an even higher ceiling.”
4-star QB DJ Lagway – Florida commit
School: Willis (Texas)
On3 Consensus Ranking: No. 16
On3 NIL Valuation: $369K
Scouting Review: “DJ Lagway is a strong-armed quarterback prospect who possesses a thicker build with solid measurables for the position. Checked in at 6-foot-2.3 and 225 pounds during the camp circuit prior to his junior season. Has the arm strength to make throws at every level of the field, including ones from the far hash. Efficient with his movements in the pocket and comfortable working outside the pocket. Arm talent shines when forced to throw from multiple arm slots or off-platform. Will need to continue progressing with his accuracy as a passer – completed 55 percent of his passes as a sophomore at under 7 yards per attempt. A touted two-sport athlete who has also received multiple Power Five offers as a baseball player.”
4-star QB Julian Sayin – Alabama commit
School: Carlsbad (Calif.)
On3 Consensus Ranking: No. 22
On3 NIL Valuation: $311K

Scouting Review: “The first thing that jumps out about Julian Sayin is that he is a pure passer. His mechanics are clean. At the minimum, he has one of the quickest releases [in the 2024 class]. The ball gets out really fast. There are not a lot of moving parts in his throwing motion. He’s been very productive at Carlsbad through two years of starting. Averages over 10 yards per attempt and a high completion percentage of around 75 percent for his career. Limits interceptions. This is a guy who does a very good of taking care of the football and playing efficiently and can hit all levels of the field with his ability to get the ball out quickly, read defenses, and play from the pocket.”
4-star TE Landen Thomas – Georgia commit
School: Moultrie (Ga.) Colquitt County
On3 Consensus Ranking: No. 26
On3 NIL Valuation: $116K
Recruiting Review: Landen Thomas racked up nearly 1,400 yards receiving and 16 touchdowns, including 753 yards and a 17.1 catch average in 2022. He chose the Bulldogs in July 2022 over offers from Florida State, Florida, Ohio State, Michigan and nearly a dozen other programs.
4-star S Peyton Woodyard – Georgia commit
School: Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco
On3 Consensus Ranking: No. 28
On3 NIL Valuation: $140K
Scouting Review: Peyton Woodyard is one of the country’s most dynamic safety prospects, totaling more than 100 tackles over the past two seasons at national powerhouse St. John Bosco. He chose the Bulldogs in January over Florida, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oregon and USC.
4-star WR Cam Williams – Notre Dame commit
School: Glen Ellyn (Ill.) Glenbard South
On3 Consensus Ranking: No. 30
On3 NIL Valuation: $118K
Scouting Review: “Cam Williams has prototypical size — a very good frame. He looks to have very good length as well. He’s very athletic and coordinated, which is backed up with his track profile. He ran an 11.01 100-meter dash and is a 6-foot-5 high jumper. He has top end speed and vertical bounce; that’s very strong for a rising junior receiver. For that to go with his size, it’s a very good athletic profile. And he’s smooth on film. He looks like one of the better wide receiver prospects in the country. We have him ranked that way, and I wouldn’t be surprised if we continue to see him move up.”
4-star LB Myles Graham – Florida commit
School: Atlanta (Ga.) Woodward Academy
On3 Consensus Ranking: No. 31
On3 NIL Valuation: $108K
Scouting Review: “Right off the bat, Myles Graham flies around the football field, showing off elite lateral speed and quickness when diagnosing between run and pass plays. The 6-foot-1, 212-pound linebacker fills running lanes with ease, plugging up gaps before the ball carrier can even pass the line of scrimmage. Graham is an elite run stopper with a nose for the football. The Georgia linebacker is aggressive in his attack, pulling down running backs between and outside the tackles. When tackling opposing ball carriers, Graham shows perfect tackling form by wrapping up and putting his helmet on the ball often, causing fumbles. Graham shows excellent strength in his lower half.”
