Midway through July, many of the nation’s top wide receiver prospects have already made their college decision. Below are the top-10 committed receivers in the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, and where they are heading.
Five-Star Plus+ Jeremiah Smith
School: Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna Prep
Status: Committed to Ohio State
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 1
On3 NIL Valuation: $458K
Scouting Summary: “Jeremiah Smith is a big, skilled receiver with fluidity and savvy for the position. Measured in at 6-foot-3 and around 200 pounds prior to his senior season. Had a breakout 2021 season, helping his Chaminade-Madonna team to a state championship. Turned in several strong performances, including a big state title game. Polished route-runner at this early stage. Smooth mover with some technical refinement that allows for separation. Shows good ball skills with his ability to track the football over his shoulder. Also a strong track athlete winning state titles in the 110-meter and 400-meter hurdles as a junior. Can further take advantage of his size by continuing to improve his contested catch skills.”
5-star Cam Coleman
School: Phenix City (Ala.) Central
Status: Committed to Texas A&M
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 13
On3 NIL Valuation: $317K
Scouting Summary: “Cam Coleman is a twitched-up receiver with projectable size and length who is arguably the most physically-gifted pass catcher in the 2024 cycle. Projects as a dynamic X wide receiver. Measured in at 6-foot-3.5, 185 pounds with a 33.5-inch arm in the spring prior to his senior season. Tested as a rare athlete at Under Armour’s Atlanta camp, running an electronically-timed 4.46-second 40-yard dash, a 4.19-second short shuttle along with a 10’8” broad jump. Pairs his athleticism and length to result in a large catch radius. Shows the ability to make eye-popping acrobatic grabs in contested situations. Adjusts to low and wide throws. Frames the ball at the catch point, using good technique. Flashed a relatively advanced release package off the line of scrimmage in the camp setting along with the burst and long speed to separate on Friday nights. Has the long speed to separate downfield against top corners. Runs with toughness after the catch. Has a shorter stride length for a taller wide receiver. Doubles as an electric above-the-rim athlete on the basketball court. Young for the cycle, not turning 18 years old until his freshman season of college. Does not have the same level of gaudy production as some other top-ranked 2024 wide receivers as he split targets with Michigan signee Karmello English as a junior. Has shown several signs of a very high developmental upside along with a rapid spike in his development over the course of his junior year.”
4-star Mylan Graham
School: New Haven (Ind.)
Status: Committed to Ohio State
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 16
On3 NIL Valuation: $294K
Scouting Summary: “Mylan Graham is the definition of a technician at the wide receiver position. Has the ability to separate from defenders in a phone booth off the snap. Capable of winning off the line of scrimmage without being touched. Explosive and twitchy when coming off the line and out of his breaks. Loose hips who can sink at the top of his routes with ease. Rarely touched when has the ball in his hands in open space, extremely tough to bring down in the open field. Comfortable catching the football away from his frame, natural ball tracker downfield. Has the ability to high point and win 50-50 balls. Terrific in the return game as well. Leaner athletic build for the wide receiver position, will struggle to sniff 200 pounds at the next level. Has quality speed on film but need to confirm top-end speed in order to determine true ceiling. Has all the positional traits to become a special receiver. One of the most technically sound prospects at the position to come out in the last few recruiting cycles. Projects as a Z-type or X-receiver at the next level and beyond.”
5-star Bryant Wesco
School: Midlothian (Texas)
Status: Committed to Clemson
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 17
On3 NIL Valuation: $276K
Scouting Summary: “Bryant Wesco is a silky smooth route runner who can win at every level of the field due to his fluidity and explosiveness. Long and leaner athletic frame who will add substantial weight as he physically develops. Stands in at 6-foot-2, nearly 170 pounds with a 6-foot-3 wingspan. Jumped an impressive 36-inch vertical, ran a 4.55 electronically-timed 40-yard dash and a 4.23 short shuttle during the spring camp circuit prior to his senior season. Displays his explosiveness in track and field as well having jumped a 6-foot-6 high during his junior track and field season. Strong hands catcher who can play above the rim and high point the football with ease. Has positional versatility who can line up at the X, Z or inside at the slot. Lacks ideal length but still possesses a strong catch radius due to his ability to pluck the ball away from his frame. High floor prospect who will walk into an integral offensive role early at the next level.”
5-star Perry Thompson
School: Foley (Ala.)
Status: Committed to Alabama
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 29
On3 NIL Valuation: $216K

Measured at 6-foot-3, 205 pounds prior to his junior season. Has high-end length for the position with a 33.5-inch arm. Runs well at his size, showing the separation skills to get vertical and beat double coverage. Tracks the ball well with the ability to locate the ball over his shoulder for high-difficulty grabs. Makes plays from the outside and in the slot. Flashes good change of direction as a route-runner on Friday nights and in th 7-on-7 setting. Makes plays after the catch and as a return man. Shows competitiveness and toughness as a two-way player. Productive in a high-volume role as a junior, catching 87 passes for 1,059 yards and nine touchdowns. Does not benefit from a loaded supporting cast. On the lower end of yards per catch among his highly-touted peers with 12.2 yards per reception as a junior. Has turned in some encouraging personal best track times over high school career but can continue to consistently transfer that over to the field with his play speed and the track as the times tend to vary. Still putting his tools together but has the upside to be one of the better receivers in a strong crop at the position in the 2024 cycle.”

Uses his natural shake and change of direction as a route-runner, where he is one of the more technically-advanced receivers early on in the 2024 cycle. Has shown the ability to break off defensive backs with his start-stop ability. A fluid, natural mover in the route and after-catch phases. Shows the ability to track the football downfield. Already has above-average size at over 6-foot-1 and 175 pounds. Made big plays against big-time competition in South Florida on a consistent basis.”
4-star Cam Williams
School: Glen Ellyn (Ill.) Glenbard South
Status: Committed to Notre Dame
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 36
On3 NIL Valuation: $181K
Scouting Summary: “Cam Williams is an athletic receiver who creates big plays in a variety of ways. Has good size, measuring around 6-foot-1, 185 pounds as a junior. Owns plus length at the position, with arms over 33 inches. Has clocked 40-yard dash times in the 4.4s at college camps. An easy, twitchy mover who shows the ability to separate vertically and take the top off of opposing defenses. Shows the ability to change gears on vertical routes. Also proves to be dangerous after the catch. Runs with tempo and pace as a ball carrier. Looks to be a strong YAC receiver with the ability to maximize yardage with the ball in his hands. Turned in a productive junior season with 882 yards and 13 touchdowns on 44 catches. Has a very strong multi-sport background as a standout in basketball and track. Shows some above-the-rim bounce on the hardwood. A very strong athlete in track, running a 10.86 second 100-meter mark as a junior and posting a 6-foot-5 high jump as a sophomore. Can continue refining some of the technical aspects of his game like route-running and consistently high-pointing the football, though he has shown some flashes with the latter. Looks to have high physical upside as a multi-dimensional receiver pending further skill development.”
4-star Zion Kearney
School: Missouri City (Texas) Hightower
Status: Committed to Oklahoma
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 61
On3 NIL Valuation: $125K

Has a muscled physically developed build with a thick lower body. Measured at 6-foot-2, 198 pounds prior to his senior season. Has average length for the position with a 31.5-inch arm. Has flashed high-end speed in several settings. Ran an electronically-timed 4.43 40-yard dash at Under Armour’s Houston camp prior to his junior season – one of the better marks nationally. Posted a personal best of 10.89 seconds in the 100 meters during his junior track season. A natural deep threat, with the speed to stack and blow by cornerbacks off the line of scrimmage. Has an easy, smooth stride. Pulls away from defenses in the open field. Flashes vertical athleticism in elevating to make in-air grabs in traffic. His speed and size (which resembles a running back) makes for a threat in the quick and screen game. Shows encouraging tracking ability in coming down with over-the-shoulder catches. Also has some physicality as a blocker. Increased his production as a junior, catching 39 passes for 765 yards and eight touchdowns. More of a straight-line athlete who is a deep threat and quick game target. Can improve his wiggle. Does not run a varied route tree and will need to refine route-running to maximize his upside and become a target in the intermediate area.”
4-star Ny Carr
School: Moultrie (Ga.) Colquitt County
Status: Committed to Georgia
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 67
On3 NIL Valuation: $126K

Scouting Summary: “Xavier Jordan is a highly skilled and coordinated receiver who was the most productive pass-catcher in the 2024 cycle as a junior. Has a thin, narrow frame, measuring at over 6-feet and around 160 pounds. Turned in a huge junior season, catching 83 passes for 1,626 yards and 20 touchdowns. Shows a very high skill level. Has some of the best ball skills we’ve evaluated in the 2024 cycle. Tracks the football effortlessly. Makes diving grabs at a high rate. Comes down with contested catches in traffic and elevates to win in jump ball situations. A fluid, natural mover who projects as a strong route-runner. Uses pacing and tempo to separate within his routes. Runs with outstanding body lean. Posts strong agility marks in the combine setting, running a 4.19-second short shuttle and 6.99-second 3-cone at Under Armour’s Los Angeles camp. Backs up those marks with how he moves on the field. Registers solid speed, with a personal best of 11.09 in the 100 meters as a sophomore, with most times coming in the 11.2 range. A very high-floor prospect given his skill level. Will need to fill out and continue to add mass and strength given his relative lack of size at this stage.”
