College basketball’s early signing period is right around the corner. There has been an exciting flurry of commitments happening pretty consistently for the last couple of months. That has kept us on our toes here, but also it means there are not many players left. The top 50 only has twelve undecided players remaining.

With the signing period approaching, I wanted to take a look through the recruiting landscape and see where all the high-major programs sit. So, I went through each power five conferences to record which schools don’t have any commitments for the 2023 class.

Here are the ten programs I came across.

NC State

NC State has brought in uncommitted four-stars Ty-Laur Johnson and Dennis Parker for official visits. Four-stars Silas Demary (USC) and Davin Cosby (Alabama) each took officials and committed elsewhere. Three-star center Braden Pierce also visited. Five-star point guard AJ Johnson is still working on a visit date. Current Kentucky commitment Robert Dillingham was also previously committed to NC State.

Outlook: Watch for Ty-Laur Johnson. On3s Recruiting Prediction Machine has NC State with a 91.6 percent chance of landing the Bronx (NY) Our Saviour Luthern point guard.

Syracuse

Syracuse brought in uncommitted three-star Mike Williams for an official visit. Four-stars JP Estrella (Tennessee) and Reid Ducharme (Xavier) each took an official visit but committed elsewhere. We don’t have any further visits logged in our database.

Wake Forest

Wake Forest brought in uncommitted four-star Mouhamed Dioubate and three-stars Aaron Clark and Mike Williams for official visits. Four-stars Jamari McDowell (Kansas), Davin Cosby (Alabama), Freddie Dilione (Tenessee), Aden Holloway (Auburn), and five-star Matas Buzelis (G-League) each took official visits as well but committed to other programs.

Outlook: Wake Forest is coming down to the wire on three-star guard George Washington, III. He is set to visit on 10/26. On3s Recruiting Prediction Machine has the Demon Deacons with a 94.9 percent chance of landing him.

Michigan

Michigan brought in uncommitted five-star Isaiah Collier and four-star Zayden High. Five-star Sean Stewart (Duke) took an official visit as well.

Outlook: Watch for Michigan with four-star center Papa Kante. On3s Recruiting Prediction Machine gives the Wolverines a 36.3 percent chance of landing the South Kent (CT) School senior.

Texas

Texas brought in uncommitted five-stars Baye Fall, AJ Johnson, Ronald Holland, and four-stars Andrej Stojakovic. Four-stars Jakobe Walter (Baylor), Brandon Garrison (Oklahoma State), Elmarko Jackson (Kansas).

Outlook: Texas is still in a battle for AJ Johnson with Louisville, Ron Holland with Arkansas and UCLA, and Andrej Stojakovic with UCLA and Stanford.

West Virginia

The only 2023 official visit we have on the books is with three-star, former South Carolina commitment Bryce Lindsay. He says he still has upcoming visits to Mississippi State and Texas A&M.

California

California brought in uncommitted three-star Darius Carr for an official visit. Four-star RJ Jones (Kansas State) also took an official visit for the Golden Bears but opted elsewhere. Three-star shooting guard Rodney Brown recently de-committed from the program.

Utah

Utah hosted Keanu Dawes for an official visit in early October. He recently committed to Rice. We do not have any other visits in our database.

Washington State

Washington State hosted Ryan Beasley for an official visit in September. The point guard ended up committing to San Francisco. We do not have any other visits in our database.

Texas A&M

Texas A&M has brought in four-stars Jamari McDowell (Kansas), RJ Jones (Kansas State), and Keanu Dawes (Rice) for official visits. Each committed elsewhere. They have brought in a handful of players for unofficial visits as well. Our database does not have any other visits planned.
