LILBURN, Ga. — Music boomed and the Georgia heat burned into the rubber particles of Providence Christian Academy’s turf surface during the Southern Exposure Camp.

The camp set out to give some unknown high school football players one last opportunity to gain some exposure with the football season just weeks away.

There were a few players that took center stage that have some clout around the country already. Hebron Christian’s Jack Luttrell made the short drive to take part in the camp.

He seems like a natural place to start the standout list.

Some budding stars stand out at Southern Exposure Camp

Jack Luttrell, Hebron Christian, Safety, Class of 2023

Luttrell has six Division I scholarship offers as of now — Arkansas, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Georgia Tech and Georgia State.

More on his recruitment in a bit.

Luttrell ran through drills smoothly for most of the day. In one-on-ones, he was beaten once or twice. His losses came on a short route and when the receiver made a circus catch despite his close coverage.

He looked like a Power Five safety.

During the camp, he flashed Tennessee gloves throughout the day. Following the camp, Luttrell gave a peek into the schools he enjoys at the moment.

“My favorite offers that I have right now are Tennessee and Texas A&M because of the atmosphere they provide around the school and also the love the coaching staff has for me and my family,” Luttrell said.

Luttrell camped at Tennessee on June 27. He took an unofficial visit to Texas A&M on June 14.

KingJoseph Edwards, Hebron Christian, ATH, Class of 2024

Edwards has offers from Arkansas, Georgia Tech, Florida State and UCF. Edwards stands out when instantly with his physical stature.

He’s 6-foot-4 and 225 pounds as a sophomore. Edwards could be heading for a career playing the edge at the college level with that size, but at the moment, he doubles as a jumbo wide receiver.

Edwards worked out with the pass catchers, and he looked the part. His measurables make it tempting to compare him physically to Arik Gilbert.

The former LSU Tiger and current Georgia Bulldog possess much more explosiveness and did so at the same age. Edwards is unusual and presents some of the same challenges for opponents.

Edwards is fast enough to get over the top of corners and too big for them to bully. His route running will improve, and he will become more explosive. Edwards is a potentially elite prospect in the class of 2024.

Players without offers star in drills at Southern Exposure Camp

Temarcus Elam, Lakeside (Georgia) Evans, Athlete, Class of 2023

Elam entered the camp as the quintessential unknown. It didn’t take long before the camp was buzzing about him.

Elam lined up as a pass-catcher, running back and as a corner during one-on-ones. He was dominant. Elam possesses the explosiveness, bulk and ball skills to play either side of the football at the Power Five level.

He doesn’t have any offers as of now. As the season begins, he will be a name to keep an eye on as teams start to match his testing with updated game film.

Andre Craig Jr. Locust Grove, Georgia, Wide Receiver, Class of 2023

Craig is about to knock the door down on his recruitment. He’s made impressions on a few coaching staffs during his journey around the camp and unofficial visit circuit.

He showed up to the camp and instantly flashed his smooth route running and strong hands. His suddenness in and out of breaks jumps out. Craig will play his junior season at Locust Grove after playing at Meadowcreek the last two years.

Tre Campbell, Offensive Tackle, Central Gwinnett, Georgia, Class of 2023

Campbell has already been offered by Georgia Tech. His size immediately stands out. Campbell is 6-6 and weighs nearly 335 pounds.

His size makes Campbell a potential mauler at the next level. He will take an unofficial to Georgia over the weekend.
