4-star SF Will Riley updates his recruitment
Will Riley is On3’s No. 16 player in the 2025 On3 150. The 6-foot-8 wing played up an age group with his UPlay team during Nike’s 17U Peach Jam. He averaged 10.2 points while shooting 47.7 percent from the field for the week.
“I feel like I’m a very versatile player,” Riley told On3. “I can do a lot of things on the floor, I’m a tall guard, I’m 6-foot-9, can get to the basket, I can shoot, I can play defend, I can rebound. I’ve modeled my game after Manu Ginobili, his euro-steps, the way he gets to the basket and creates space to finish at the rim.”
On3 caught up with four-star Will Riley after a recent live viewing to update his recruitment.
Riley talks visits
“I don’t have any official visits set yet,” Riley said. “We’re talking with some schools and should be going on some soon. I’ve taken an unofficial visit to Villanova so far, and that’s the only one.”
Villanova: “They’re a great program, some history there. The coaches seemed very interested in me. I enjoyed the facilities. They were great people there, and a great campus. It is also close to my current high school. Their gym was nice, and they have words of encouragement and phrases all over, I liked that. I also like their system, how they play.”
Riley talks recruitment
“I recently got an offer from St. John’s, I want to go see them,” Riley said. “I’ve been talking to UCLA some, Oregon maybe too.”

Oregon coach getting NFL buzz
St. John’s: “They’re a good program, and Coach (Rick) Pitino, I mean, his name speaks for itself; he’s a legend in this game. It seemed he really liked my game. They’re in New York, which is interesting. I plan on setting up a visit there soon. It would be a good experience to see what Coach Pitino has and their campus.”
Oregon: “I have some family in Vancouver, and they are pretty close to them. They’re a great program, I’ve always enjoyed watching them. They’ve also had a lot of Canadian guys come through their program and get to the NBA. me being Canadian, I’ve noticed that.”
UCLA: “They’re a great program. That was one of my dream schools growing up. I really liked Lonzo Ball’s game when he was there. They haven’t offered yet, but they’re talking with me pretty regularly. They play at a fast pace and give their wings some freedom, it suits my style.”
At the end of the day…
“I’m looking for a good environment overall, really,” Riley said. “I want to have a relationship with the coaches and look at the system they run, the fit. I want to play in a system that will let me play my game, have the ball in my hands, and make some plays.”
