Akron (Ohio) Archbishop Hoban four-star interior offensive lineman William Satterwhite has narrowed his list of top schools down to nine. The list includes Alabama, Auburn, Cincinnati, Clemson, Georgia, Michigan, Michigan State, Penn State and Tennessee.

The 6-foot-4, 295-pounder is the No. 196 overall prospect and No. 13 interior offensive lineman in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 6 player in Ohio.

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM), Penn State is the heavy favorite to land a commitment from Satterwhite. The Nittany Lions sit with a 91.8% chance to land his commitment.

Satterwhite recently told On3’s Chad Simmons that entering the spring, Alabama and Penn State were his top two schools. He visited both of those schools in April but also took trips to Clemson, Georgia and Tennessee.

Those trips ultimately reshaped how he viewed his top schools.

“The more trips I took and the more places I could compare to each other had me feeling differently about the schools on my list,” Satterwhite told Simmons. “I saw a lot of different things on visits and it has helped me piece it all together and have a set list now. That’s when Clemson, Georgia and Tennessee moved to the top three.

“I got a real feeling at those schools and it felt like home for me. It was like I was with my high school team and I felt secure at those schools. They made me feel important and I had an overall good time at all three schools.”

Currently Satterwhite only has one official visit to Alabama (June 23) set. He told Simmons that he’ll likely take one to Clemson on June 3 and squeeze in visits to Georgia and Tennessee between Alabama and Clemson.

Satterwhite currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $68K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
