Wisconsin is expected to hire Minnesota co-defensive coordinator and cornerbacks coach Paul Haynes as cornerbacks coach, sources tell On3.

Haynes, a former head coach at Kent State, worked at Minnesota the last three seasons. He began as cornerbacks coach before getting bumped up to co-defensive coordinator last offseason.

The Minnesota stint came after two seasons at Michigan State and five as the head coach at Kent State.

Before that, he was a defensive coordinator at Arkansas (2012) and a defensive backs coach at Ohio State (2005-11). He was also a co-DC for the Buckeyes in 2011.

At Wisconsin, he’ll work under Luke Fickell, who was hired as the Badgers’ new head coach in November after six seasons as the head coach at Cincinnati. Haynes and Fickell worked together at Ohio State.
