Four-star QB Carter Smith commits to Wisconsin
Fort Myers (Fla.) Bishop Verot On300 quarterback Carter Smith has committed to Wisconsin. The former Michigan commit chose the Badgers over Florida State, UCF and others.
The 6-foot-3, 190-pound Smith becomes commit No. 25 for head coach Luke Fickell and his program in the class-of-2025. He took an official visit this past weekend which included the game against Oregon.
“The staff was able to squeeze in everything we wanted to see in this very short window, can’t say enough about them,” Smith’s father Dan said. “We had a great conversation with Coach Fickell.
“The atmosphere last night was like something I’ve never seen before and I’ve been to some pretty crazy venues.”
Wisconsin had On3’s No. 24 ranked recruiting class prior to Smith joining the fold.
The On3 Industry ranks Smith as the nation’s No. 15 quarterback and No. 203 prospect overall. He is the reigning Gatorade Player of the Year for the state of Florida.
