The Badgers survived their semifinal matchup with the Spartans, thanks to Wisconsin guard John Blackwell, who drained two critical free throws to give his team a 74-70 lead with 31.4 seconds remaining.

Michigan advanced to the championship game after defeating Maryland in an absolute thriller on Saturday. Tre Donaldson took the rock coast-to-coast in less than six seconds, hitting a game-winning layup with 0.1 second left, lifting the Wolverines to an 81-80 thriller.
