Wisconsin WR Will Pauling enters NCAA Transfer Portal

Wisconsin wideout Will Pauling has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal, On3 has learned. He has one year of eligibility remaining.

Pauling began his college career at Cincinnati in 2021 before transferring to Wisconsin ahead of the 2023 season to follow head coach Luke Fickell. He had 42 catches for 407 yards and three touchdowns in 2024.

In four college season, Pauling played in 36 total games. He has 129 career receptions for 1372 yards and nine touchdowns.

Pauling played high school football at Homewood-Flossmoor (Ill.) High School, where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 1162 overall recruit in the 2021 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Pauling is a graduate transfer.

Wisconsin picked up an intra-conference transfer QB

Wisconsin has added another quarterback out of the NCAA Transfer Portal, as former Maryland QB Billy Edwards Jr. committed to the Badgers.

Edwards is heading to Wisconsin after announcing plans to enter the transfer portal in early December.

Edwards Jr. just finished his third season with the Terrapins and his fourth overall in college. He began his career at Wake Forest. After redshirting his lone season with the Demon Deacons, he has thrown for 3,317 yards, with 19 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions in his collegiate career. He has also rushed for 377 yards and 13 scores.

This past season with the Terrapins, Edwards threw for 2,881 yards and 15 touchdowns, with 9 interceptions, in his first year as a starter.

Edwards Jr., a native of Burke, Virginia, played high school football at Lake Braddock (Va.) High School. He was the No. 1,497 overall recruit there as a three-star prospect in the 2021 cycle. That’s according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also rated as the No. 99 QB in his class and the No. 42 player out of his state.
