NCAA announces WCWS game between Washington, Utah postponed to Friday due to weather
The latest delay of Florida State-Oklahoma State will also push back the final game of the day between Washington and Utah. That game was supposed to start at 8:30 p.m. ET and was already pushed back because of the initial delay before first pitch between the Seminoles and Cowgirls.
Ultimately, the NCAA decided to move the matchup back to Friday and announced the news amid the lengthy delay during the FSU-Oklahoma State game. First pitch had not been announced at the time of publication.
Washington enters the WCWS with a 43-13 record and is coming off back-to-back victories over Louisiana in the Seattle Super Regional. The Huskies are preparing to take on a Utah team that defeated them in the Pac-12 Tournament, 8-4, last month.
