Savannah (Ga.) Benedictine Military School wide receiver Bubba Frazier picked up an offer from Notre Dame in February and since early March, the Irish have made the playmaker feel like a top priority.

After a visit to South Bend early in April, he knew where he wanted to be part of Marcus Freeman‘s program and attend a school with a rich history and tradition. Frazier has committed to Notre Dame.

“That visit was definitely big,” Frazier told On3. “Seeing the campus and getting to see and talk to the coaches in person felt better than anywhere else. My relationship grew with the coaches and they showed me how they could use me, so I definitely knew it was home when I left that visit.”

Frazier had over two dozen offers to consider and he chose the Irish over schools like Georgia, North Carolina and Wisconsin.

“What makes Notre Dame different in my eyes is the love and the culture there. Those things, along with the academics, the campus and my relationships with the coaches are some of the biggest reasons why I committed to Notre Dame.”

Mike Brown is Frazier’s lead recruiter for the Irish. The two have built a strong connection and established a real relationship. The 5-foot-10, 165-pound speedster off the Georgia coast is excited about playing for both in the future.

“Coach Brown and I chop it up all the time. I like our relationship and I like the way he coaches his receivers. He develops them to the best they can be.

“Coach Freeman wants what’s best for me. The conversation we had [on the visit] wasn’t even about football… It was just about life and the things I can have just from going to Notre Dame.

“When I called them to commit on FaceTime, they were excited and they welcomed me to the family. It feels good to be a part of the family. I know that Notre Dame is going to set me up for good outside of football.”
