WR Dejerrian Miller commits to Kentucky: 'Each time I stepped on campus, everyone made me feel welcome'
East Saint Louis (Ill.) Cardinal Ritter Prep wide receiver Dejerrian Miller quietly picked up over 20 offers and he had his eyes on schools like Illinois, Kentucky, Ole Miss and UCLA.
It came down to two SEC schools before the 6-foot-3, 190-pound playmaker chose the commit to Mark Stoops and the Wildcats.
“Kentucky has just been consistent with me since they offered me during my junior year,” Miller told On3. “Since they offered, I have visited a couple of times and they have been on my heavy. When I was on my official visit in the summer, things went really well. Everyone was welcoming, the players connected with me and the coaches made sure I knew they wanted me.”
That visit put Kentucky high on his list. Ole Miss gave him a lot to think about too. Miller sees a great opportunity in Lexington.
“I like how I will fit into the offense. They get the ball to their playmakers and I can be a good X receiver in their scheme that they can move around. I see a chance to make an early impact at Kentucky too.

“The way they get the ball to their players and the opportunity I have there, I could be SEC Freshman of the Year. I just trust the coaches will put me in a position to make plays right away.”
Miller wants to compete for early playing time. That was a plus in his eyes at Kentucky. How they recruited him was a factor in his decision. He also liked the way he felt in Lexington.
“Each time I stepped on campus, everyone made me feel welcome,” Morris said. “Everyone knew my name. The connection was easy. From the coaching staff to guys like Barion Brown and Dane Key, it was easy. That feeling made a difference in my commitment.”
