Zion Cruz, 2022 4-star, sets commitment date

Zion Cruz, a 6-foot-5 shooting guard out of Hillside (N.J.) The Patrick School will announce his college commitment this Sunday, September 5th at 3:00pm ET, source tells On3.

Cruz’s finalists include Auburn, Creighton, and North Carolina. It’s quite an interesting list considering the only recorded visits Cruz has taken have been to Auburn on June 4th and Oregon on June 13th. The Ducks are no longer being considered and Cruz hasn’t visited North Carolina or Creighton.

The original plan for Cruz was to announce his decision on August 19th, but it was delayed as reported by On3’s Jeffrey Lee.

Zion Cruz is the no. 11 overall prospect in the On3 100 rankings.
