LSU 4-star CB commit Zion Ferguson sets two March visits
Gainesville (Ga.) four-star cornerback Zion Ferguson will be visiting North Carolina on March 4 and LSU on March 10, he announced Thursday. Ferguson has been committed to the Tigers since Sept. 4.
A 5-foot-11.5, 170-pound defensive back, Ferguson is the No. 292 overall prospect and No. 26 cornerback in the 2024 On300. He is also the No. 38 player in Georgia.
On Jan. 30, Ferguson told Billy Embody of The Bengal Tiger that he is “still committed to LSU, but my recruitment is still open.”
“The culture, the people down there, the coaching staff and coach (Brian) Kelly,” Ferguson said about why he remains locked in with the Tigers. “He made a change this year for sure. He beat Nick Saban his first year. People didn’t think he was going to come in and get that many wins. Definitely proved them wrong. I love what they’re doing over there. That’s been my dream school and it’s DBU. Definitely trying to be on that legacy.”

Ferguson also mentioned his relationship with cornerbacks coach Robert Steeples as a key reason for his LSU pledge.
“We’re in contact every week,” Ferguson said. “He came to my school (last week). He’s a teacher of the game. He taught before so he can coach multiple ways. He’s real chill, he’s going to make sure he’s on your stuff for sure. I definitely seen him in his coaching element and that’s someone I definitely want to play for.”
Ferguson, who was at Auburn for the Tigers’ Junior Day last month, has also visited the Tar Heels. He was previously in Chapel Hill last April.
