ZZ Clark is the No. 141 player in the 2024 On3 Consensus. The 6-foot-2 guard, and younger brother of Skyy Clark, transferred this season to the Overtime Elite program, where he shares a backcourt with projected 2023 lottery picks Amen Thompson and Ausar Thompson.

“I’m someone who loves to get teammates involved,” Clark told On3. “Being on the team with the twins (Amen and Ausar Thompson), I’ve gotten a lot better this season at handling ball pressure. I watch a lot of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and his IQ and how he gets to his spots and pace.”

On3 caught up with ZZ Clark after a recent live viewing to dive into his recruitment.

Clark talks recruitment

“I’ve been hearing a lot from Cal lately,” Clark said. “I’d like to go see them as soon as possible.”

California: “I like how they brought in Devin Askew and how they’re using him. I know his family, and he has been playing really well this weekend. That could be a good spot for me.”

I hear a lot from San Diego, NC State, and San Diego State,” Clark said. “Florida came by to watch a few workouts, and they stay in touch. Same with Georgia, they text me regularly.”

In Clark’s words

“I’m going to look to take some visits over the summer,” Clark said. “I want to go to a school where I’m actually going to enjoy my time there. Like, I don’t want it to be a chore being there. I want to get along with the coach and the coaching staff.

“I’d like to go to a program where I’m going to learn and grow and get ready for the next level.”
