Launched in August 2022, Oregon-focused NIL collective Ducks Rising says it’s a “unique new multimedia content platform covering Oregon Athletics.” Oregon alum and Ducks Rising founder Andrew Parmentier has big plans for the collective. “Our goal at Ducks Rising is to galvanize Oregon’s national fan base through a platform that offers significant value to both monthly subscribers and athletes,” Parmentier told On3’s Scoop Duck. In addition to all the features and stories produced by the Ducks Rising’s staff, members of the platform will also get to see and hear from Oregon athletes firsthand through interviews, chats, appearances and more. Parmentier, a former analyst on Wall Street and private equity executive says that 80-90% of profit will go back to players via NIL contracts. The group already has support from a number of student-athletes and former players. “Ducks Rising provides a safe and secure way for student athletes at Oregon to benefit,” Former Oregon great De’Anthony Thomas said. “It really gives the athletes a chance to become a professional. And as a professional, build and profit off their brands. I look forward to working with Ducks Rising and helping Oregon student-athletes.”
