The Maroon and Golden Collective was officially made public in March 2024 with a focus on supporting Texas State football players. "M&G Collective has a goal of being transparent and running lean," the collective's website sayd. "This means that we aren’t out to make money on this deal. All money brought in through donations and subscriptions minus the cost of expenses will go to the student athletes that sign contracts with M&G. This is a collective run by Bobcats for Bobcats."
