OneSeahawk was launched in June 2023 with a focus on supporting UNC Wilmington student-athletes. “OneSeahawk brings together student-athletes with the local community to create winning opportunities for all,” the collective’s website says. “Fans, alumni and organizations align toward a common goal to create partnerships in order to support our student-athletes and afford them opportunities to be compensated while making an impact for the betterment of Wilmington and surrounding communities.” While it’s somewhat unclear what sports the collective supports, images of men’s and women’s basketball and baseball players are featured on the collective’s website.
