The Maroon Fund - Eastern Kentucky Colonels Collective

EKU Athletics announced in June 2023 a partnership with the Maroon Fund NIL as an official sponsor and premier collective. The Maroon Fund was founded by a group of trusted and passionate supporters to improve the lives of EKU student-athletes during their tenure in college and into their professional careers, according to EKU Athletics in a news release. The primary purpose of the Maroon Fund is to assist student-athletes in learning life and entrepreneurial skills by partnering the student-athlete with a local business or charity to promote and represent their brand. "The vision and establishment of the Maroon Fund, together with this unique partnership, provides an important means whereby our dedicated and loyal alumni, friends, and fans can now support our pursuit of comprehensive success for our student-athletes in this new era of intercollegiate athletics," said Vice President and Director of Athletics Matt Roan.
