Florida QB Anthony Richardson has netted more than $1 million in NIL deals
Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson has signed more than $1 million worth of NIL deals this college football season, multiple sources have told On3.
This figure does not include the compensation he’s received from Florida-focused NIL collectives; he signed a deal with the Gator Collective in January. The quarterback has had a busy fall, signing notable partnerships with Champs Sports and Gatorade. He also engineered the season-opening win over Utah.
His memorabilia deal with Fanatics is also factored into the figure.
It is just part of the mounting evidence that starting quarterbacks in major markets will earn plenty of NIL dollars. At the high school level, highly-touted quarterback recruits are commanding seven-figure annual salaries for their commitment. College quarterbacks are raking in the profits, too, thanks to their superstar status in their college communities and strong social media followings.
Bryce Young and Quinn Ewers each boast NIL portfolios that are well into the seven figures. Richardson is only the latest example.
A former four-star recruit, Richardson played behind Emory Jones for most of last season. The redshirt sophomore has struggled at times this year, but he’s also shown why he could leave for the NFL Draft this spring.

Last week at Texas A&M, he threw for two touchdowns and added another two scores on the ground. Through nine games, he’s passed for 1,839 yards and a 55.7% completion percentage. He’s thrown seven interceptions while also rushing for eight touchdowns.
If the Gainesville native ultimately does decide to return for another year, adding NIL deals will not be a problem. Represented by attorney Darren Heitner and Legacy Sports Advisors agent Deiric Jackson, the Florida quarterback is not done adding to his NIL portfolio this season.
“We set off on a strategy saying, ‘Look, this may take some time and you’re going to have to prove yourself but if and when that happens, you’re going to be able to capitalize on it. Don’t be like so many of the other athletes out there jumping at every single opportunity. Focus on quality over quantity,’” Heitner previously told On3.
The Gators are 5-3 entering this weekend’s game in The Swamp against South Carolina.
