Arch Manning stars in hilarious Uber commercial alongside Archie, Cooper

The Mannings are officially all-in on NIL. And self-driving taxis, apparently.
Texas quarterback Arch Manning joined his father, Cooper, and the Manning family patriarch, Archie, in a hilarious new ad for Uber promoting its new fleet of self-driving taxis in partnership with Waymo, released on Instagram on Tuesday.
The ad is part of Uber’s Tuesday morning launch with Waymo to provide a fleet of autonomous, self-driving taxis in Austin, home of the University of Texas. Austin is the second city to join the Uber-Waymo partnership, along with Phoenix.
In the ad, posted first to Uber’s Instagram page, Arch Manning is in the backseat of the Waymo self-driving taxi between his father and grandfather as they make their way around Austin.
Cooper Manning begins the commercial by asking his 75-year-old father the name of their driver as the camera pans to an empty driver’s seat as a confused Archie responding: “Uh, I don’t see a driver.”
Cooper then directs his next question to his son, Arch, who is expected to take over as the Longhorns’ starting quarterback in 2025 after two seasons as the backup to Quinn Ewers.

“Arch, do you Uber to class?” Cooper asks. “Because I notice you get a lot of parking tickets. You must be driving somewhere.”
Sounding like a typical college student, Arch responds: “Tickets are brutal around campus, so I think Uber is the way to go.”

Archie then gets in on the fun by pointing out the self-driving taxi “drives a lot better than Arch did last night coming from the airport. That was the worst.”
Arch couldn’t argue with his grandfather’s point: “I missed like three turns.”
The commercial devolves into teasing the septuagenarian Archie about his general lack of understanding about modern technology before the taxi ride comes to a stop. At this point, Arch, a rising redshirt sophomore at Texas, tries to get out of the car, but not before his father, Cooper, mocks kissing Arch on the cheek before doing the same to the absent driver.
While no NIL terms have been announced with Uber, Manning currently has a $6.5 million NIL Valuation, according to the On3 NIL Valuation, which ranked him first in the NIL 100 with the highest NIL Valuation of any college or high school athlete, regardless of sport.
The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets the standard market NIL value for high school and college athletes. A proprietary algorithm, the On3 NIL Valuation establishes the overall NIL market and projected 12-month growth rate for an Athlete by measuring two categories: Roster Value and NIL.
The majority of dollars athletes earn is based on their Roster Value. Roster Value collects data from all school collectives, players, and representatives using a proprietary Roster Management algorithm. NIL value measures the licensing and sponsorship market through exposure and social media influence. Roster Value and NIL combine to create the overall On3 NIL Valuation.
