Auburn quarterback Robby Ashford signs with The Network Advisory

Robby Ashford has brought on The Network Advisory to guide his future NIL endeavors.

The Auburn quarterback joins a growing NIL roster under TNA, including 2024 four-star receiver prospect Ryan Pellum. Ashford announced the move on Instagram. The former four-star recruit and Hoover, Alabama, native, Ashford transferred in to the Plains this season after spending his two years at Oregon.

In 12 games this season, he threw for 1,613 yards with seven touchdowns and seven interceptions. The dual-threat quarterback found success on the ground, too, rushing for 710 yards on 153 carries and another seven scores. He arguably had his best game of the season in the Iron Bowl, totaling three touchdowns.

A full-service sports marketing, branding and public relations firm based out of Los Angeles, Ashford will be working hand-in-hand with industry veterans Justin Giangrande and Brian Sher. Entertainment lawyer Tabetha Plummer has also been brought on to assist with the quarterback.

Giangrande was formerly a vice president at Vayner Sports before forming Levels Sports at the start of the NIL Era. He is now working solely with TNA, which has a talent roster featuring fashion influencer India Love, actor Peyton Meyer and musical artist KOH. Sher owns Hollywood entertainment company, Crossover Entertainment, and has a track record of working with high-profile musical talent, as well.

With Auburn’s recent hiring of Hugh Freeze, Ashford will have to adjust to a new system and coaching staff. He technically will have the opportunity to hit the Transfer Portal again, if he feels a change is needed.

Ashford signed with the Auburn-focused NIL collective On To Victory at the end of October.

“We’ve had great success with our Auburn transfers at Liberty, obviously Malik Willis comes there and becomes a draft pick at quarterback” Freeze said in his introductory press conference this week. “I knew he could run around, obviously, that’s very positive. Saw him make some throws in that game, in particular in the right corner of the end zone. It was a really, really difficult pass. It was really beautifully done.”

The Auburn quarterback currently holds a $110,000 On3 NIL Valuation. His evaluation has seen a $9,800 uptick in the last 10 weeks, ranking in the top 420 of college football players. And his social media following saw a spike following the Iron Bowl, now sitting just under 50,000 total followers. Ashford has a per-post projection of $665.

The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets the projected annual value for high school and college athletes. A proprietary algorithm, the On3 NIL Valuation calculates an athlete’s NIL value using dynamic data points targeting three primary categories: performance, influence and exposure.

It incorporates an athlete’s brand value and roster value, with the latter accounting for the influence of NIL collectives.

While the algorithm includes deal data, it does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals athletes have completed to date, nor does it set an athlete’s NIL valuation for their entire career.
