Boilermaker Alliance teams with GoldandBlack to offer unique NIL opportunity
Two key players in the Purdue sports world have teamed up to provide Boilermaker fans never before seen behind-the-scenes access.
The Boilermaker Alliance, the Purdue-focused NIL collective, announced a collaboration on Tuesday with GoldandBlack.com. With the partnership, fans can access to a new subscription model that offers exclusive content focused on Matt Painter’s men’s basketball team, Ryan Walters’ football squad, Dave Shondell’s volleyball unit and Katie Gearlds’ women’s basketball roster.
The new membership model features five tiers of subscription, ranging from the Starters Club for $25 per month to the Founders Club, an exclusive club for members who make significant commitments to the Boilermaker Alliance.
Subscribers to the membership model will receive a GoldandBlack.com premium membership and access to additional exclusive content produced by the website. GoldandBlack is the most iconic fan site in the Purdue market and home to the largest Boilermaker message board community on the Internet. GoldandBlack.com is a fan site partner with On3.
“We are excited to begin this collaboration with the Boilermaker Alliance,” said GoldandBlack.com president Alan Karpick. “GoldandBlack.com is committed to bringing the best content to our subscribers and all Purdue fans. Our partnership with BA is going to help us achieve that goal. We look forward to taking that behind-the-scenes access to new levels and are eager to get started.”
In addition to unique content, Karpick said subscribers will have access to an exclusive Boilermaker Alliance message board that will house the content and exclusive messaging from the BA.
“It’s a new day in college athletics with NIL and organizations like the Boilermaker Alliance,” On3 Founder and CEO Shannon Terry said. “We are thrilled to join forces with Purdue’s collective to provide economic opportunities for student-athletes and opportunities to make a difference in their communities.”

What is the Boilermaker Alliance?
Launched in July 2022, Boilermaker Alliance NIL collective was founded by a group of individuals who have made a “long-standing commitment to Purdue University and the athletic department.”
The Boilermaker Alliance generated national headlines last fall when Drew Brees was announced as a new member of its executive board. Along with the announcement of Brees taking an active role in its executive board, the Boilermaker Alliance also offered NIL opportunities to all 385 scholarship student-athletes at Purdue.
The partnership between GoldandBlack.com and the Boilermaker Alliance is just another example of why experts believe the collective is one of the most ambitious in the country.
“We are convinced that combining our access with the quality of GoldandBlack.com’s content will yield a product that Purdue fans will truly enjoy,” said Mark Carney, Chair of the Boilermaker Alliance Board of Directors. “Most importantly, the proceeds from our membership subscriptions will allow us to supplement our existing charitable mission programs with a recurring fee income program to help Purdue athletics compete.”
