Providence's Bryce Hopkins signs with Priority Sports for NIL representation
Providence guard/forward Bryce Hopkins has signed with the sports agency Priority Sports for name, image and likeness representation. Priority Sports announced the news on its Twitter account Monday.
Priority Sports has offices in Atlanta, Chicago and Los Angeles. The agency represents NBA and NFL players, coaches and broadcasters.
Priority Sports has represented other men’s college basketball players, such as Purdue center and reigning Naismith Player of the Year Zach Edey, former Iowa forward Kris Murray, North Carolina-to-Michigan transfer Caleb Love and former North Carolina forward Pete Nance, in their NIL opportunities. In terms of college football players, the agency represents Clemson wide receiver Beaux Collins and UCLA defensive back Devin Kirkwood.
Hopkins has also participated in at least one NIL opportunity that Friar Family Collective facilitated. In January, Hopkins and teammate NorQuante Berry joined then-Providence coach Ed Cooley in a series called “Coffee With The Coach,” which Dunkin’ sponsored.
“Great growth opportunity for our guys,” Cooley tweeted.
Friar Family Collective launched last September when a news release said Providence officially endorses the collective and it quoted Providence athletic director Steve Napolillo.

“The best interests of Providence and its student-athletes are central to the Friar Family Collective and its members,” Napolillo said in a statement. “I look forward to the Friar Family Collective giving our student-athletes an opportunity to maximize their name, image and likeness in this new college landscape.”
Bryce Hopkins had success after transferring to Providence
Bryce Hopkins is a former top-40 recruit, according to the On3 Industry Ranking. He enjoyed a breakout sophomore season in 2023 after transferring from Kentucky to Providence. Hopkins averaged 2.1 points in 6.5 minutes per game in 28 appearances off the bench at Kentucky. Last season, he earned first-team All-Big East honors after averaging 15.8 points and 8.5 rebounds, both of which led the Friars.
Providence earned a No. 11 seed in the 2023 NCAA Tournament, where the Friars were ironically matched up against the Wildcats. Kentucky defeated Providence 61-53. Hopkins had seven points on 2-of-9 shooting with eight rebounds.
Bryce Hopkins will return to Providence
Bryce Hopkins announced on March 31 he’s returning for his junior season.
“Let’s run it back,” he tweeted.
Cooley, who coached 11 seasons and led the Friars to six NCAA tournament appearances, accepted an offer from Georgetown after the season. Hopkins will play for new Providence coach Kim English next season. English, who played at Missouri and who was a second-round pick in the 2012 NBA Draft, coached George Mason for the last two seasons.
