Creighton collective launches with teamwide NIL deal with nationally-ranked volleyball team
A new collective supporting Creighton launched on Tuesday with a splashy teamwide deal with the Bluejays’ nationally ranked volleyball program.
Heart Mind Soul was unveiled by Student Athlete NIL, the same company that operates collectives such as Success with Honor at Penn State, Crimson and Cream at Oklahoma and Knights of The Raritan at Rutgers.
Student Athlete NIL CEO Jason Belzer has high expectations for Heart Mind Soul.
“Being the only show in town, Creighton has an incredible opportunity to make a statement in the NIL space,” Belzer said. “Not only do they have an incredibly loyal fan base, but there are hundreds of companies based in Omaha who have shown interest in engaging with student-athletes for marketing and endorsement opportunities.”
Heart Mind Soul launches with excitement
In addition to the launch, Heart Mind Soul revealed it’s signed the entire Creighton volleyball squad to NIL deals. Heart Mind Soul also helped facilitate an agreement between the volleyball players and Little King Deli & Subs, a popular Nebraska-based sandwich shop.
Creighton has a number of successful athletic programs, but the volleyball team is one of the best of the best in the country.

The Bluejays are the eight-time defending champions of the Big East. Plus, they have made 10 straight NCAA tournament appearances. The squad is currently ranked No. 15 in the country and is 18-3 overall and 10-0 in league play this season. Outside hitter Norah Sis, a Nebraska native, was named preseason Big East Player of the Year after a standout season that saw her pick up National Freshman of the Year honors from VolleyballMag.com.
News of the NIL deals and the collective launch were met with excitement by the players.
“Heart Mind Soul is changing the NIL landscape and providing opportunities for all Creighton student-athletes,” Creighton middle blocker Kiana Schmitt said in a social media post.
Heart Mind Soul has multiple subscription levels, ranging from $10 to more than $500 monthly. Each of the different levels offers unique perks, including access to supporter events, Heart Mind Soul apparel and meet and greet sessions with the student-athletes.
