With College Football 25 early access already opened and the standard version dropping Friday, EA Sports dropped an update Thursday on the highly-anticipated Team Builder mode.

According to a new release from EA, Team Builder for College Football 25 will arrive Thursday night. Team Builder will be centered around a deep creation suite, where you can discover and share logos and celebrate creators.

“Create your own college football program with customization tools on the Team Builder website,” EA previously wrote about Team Builder. “Design uniforms, helmets, fields, and upload your own logo. You can then upload your program to use in Play Now and Dynasty.”

Users will have the opportunity to add a primary, secondary and tertiary logo when designing their team. Primary logos will be used throughout the in-game UI in Dynasty mode. Secondary and tertiary logos will be added to uniforms and the field. Fans can upload their logos or choose from recolorable generic logos.

Fans will be able to choose Nike, adidas or Under Armor as their uniform provider which will impact the fonts and equipment players wear. Gamers can create five helmets, five jerseys, five pants and five socks for their school – 625 uniform combinations. On top of the room for creativity, users will have the ability to add up to seven custom layers on their helmets.

Similar to past games, fans will have full power in creating their home field. Eight components will be included in the build: stadium, crowd, surface, logos, endzone, numbers, sidelines and benches. Fans will start by choosing one of the existing 134 FBS stadiums and renaming it. After building out the stadium, users can switch their attention to the field.

For actually playing College Football 25 a program built in Team Builders, fans will set their playbooks and select from seven generic roster types.

“When developing Team Builder, our goal was to give fans the freedom to bring their creativity to life and share their passion and designs with the community,” EA said in its release. “In order to facilitate this, we knew that we had to offer you the ability to bring your creations to life with deep customization while building an experience that matched what we set up to do.

“This goal meant we needed to lean into a more robust toolset for a web-based solution that gave fans as much freedom for creation and customization as we could build.”

Who is in EA Sports College Football 25?

More than 14,000 college football players have opted in, pushing EA past its goal of 85 players per roster. EA informed athletes last month if they would be in or out of the first edition of the game. Developers created the game to allow for updates to rosters throughout the season.

As previously reported, all athletes who are in the game will receive $600 plus a copy of the game, typically valued at $70. Names like Alabama quarterback Jalen MilroeGeorgia quarterback Carson BeckColorado wide receiver/defensive back Travis HunterOle Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart and Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers have all inked partnerships and will be in the game.

Some notable freshmen could be missing if they have not enrolled yet or received a school email, which is needed to register. Some late transfers who are still in the process of enrolling may also be missing at release time.

Nearly every major star in the sport has opted in. Texas quarterback Arch Manning, who previously decided not to opt in, announced he would be in the video game last week. He appeared in a commercial with his uncle, Eli Manning, to announce he would be in the game. EA Sports paid Manning between $50-60K to promote the game, a source told On3.

ArmyNavy and Air Force athletes cannot accept compensation for participating in the game, however, EA is expected to include players from the service academies.
