Florida analyst Jamar Chaney is expected to be hired as the new outside linebackers coach at Western Kentucky, sources tell On3.
Chaney, a former Mississippi State and NFL linebacker, worked at Mississippi State as a senior analyst for two seasons prior to taking the analyst job at Florida last year after Billy Napier was hired as the Gators’ new head coach. Chaney, whose contributions with Florida included his recruiting prowess, previously worked for Florida as an assistant director of player personnel in 2019 under Dan Mullen.
Chaney, a Florida native, got his start in coaching as head coach at his high school alma mater, St. Lucie West Centennial, where he led the team to its first playoff appearance in seven years.
