Florida State quarterback DJ Uiagalelei stars in NIL deal with Circle K
DJ Uiagalelei is enjoying his first summer in Florida.
The Florida State quarterback is golfing and prepping for his final season of college football. He’s inked an NIL deal with Circle K, promoting the convenience store’s Polar Pop. Repped by Vayner Sports, Uiagalelei likes Circle K because they have his favorite Powerade flavor.
His social media advertisement for the brand is now going viral, with more than 75,000 views on Instagram. In the 40-second clip, he breaks down the ins and outs of Circle K’s Polar Pop station.
“DJ Uiagalelei here, I am at my favorite convenience store, Circle K,” he says in the commercial. “Out here in Florida, it get real hot. So whenever I’m done golfing or just want to get something to drink to cool down, pop over to Circle K because they got the 79 cent Polar Pop.”
Uiagalelei turned heads as a true freshman at Clemson, stepping in for Trevor Lawrence in 2020 and throwing for 439 yards and two passing touchdowns in his second career start under the lights in South Bend against Notre Dame.
He struggled in his two seasons as a starter with the Tigers, looking uncomfortable in the offense. But making the jump to Oregon State, the 6-foot-4, 252-pound quarterback meshed with head coach Jonathan Smith’s offensive scheme, throwing for over 2,638 yards this season and leading Oregon State to an 8-4 record.
“I have one more step here at Florida State, one last year, man,” Uiagalelei previously told On3. “I just want to be able to go in there and work my tail off, be another player. Don’t want to be any star player, I just want to be another number on the team and just be another player. Just come in and compete.”

DJ Uiagalelei’s On3 NIL Valuation
Uiagalelei has a $630,000 On3 NIL Valuation, which ranks No. 72 in the On3 NIL 100, the first of its kind and defacto NIL ranking of the top 100 high school and college athletes ranked by their On3 NIL Valuation.
Uiagalelei’s valuation is also in the top 50 of the college football NIL rankings. With more than 212,000 social media followers, the quarterback has inked endorsement deals with EA Sports College Football 25 and the Florida State-driven NIL collective The Battle’s End. He’s previously worked with Dr. Pepper and Bojangles.
“Despite what some fans and media believe, there is not an unlimited amount of money being deployed to manage rosters,” said Shannon Terry, the founder and CEO of On3. “Any model – whether it’s today’s broken NCAA ‘student-athlete’ construct or media rights sharing through employment, which is almost a certainty in the near future – demands efficiency based on the athlete and school knowing the athlete’s respective market value.”
The On3 NIL Valuation is calculated by combining Roster Value and personal NIL. Roster value is the value an athlete has by being a member of his or her team at his or her school, which factors into the role of NIL collectives. NIL in an athlete’s name, image and likeness and the value it could bring to regional and national brands outside of the scope of NIL collectives.
