Five-star offensive tackle Francis Mauigoa of Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy continued Miami’s major recruiting momentum with his Fourth of July commitment. What’s also clear is that Mauigoa has major momentum in the NIL market.

Francis Mauigoa now has an On3 NIL Valuation of $291,000, which is up more than $53,000 after his pledge to the Hurricanes.

A central reason for his On3 NIL Valuation boost is the significant increase in social media followers he saw.

While he has only around 14,700 followers in total, he did see a 40.9% increase in Instagram followers, a 39.93% rise in TikTok follows and a 37.2% surge in Twitter followers over the past seven days. All of the increases came during the run-up and after he picked the Hurricanes over Tennessee, Alabama and a host of other national programs.

The increase will surely continue on all his social platforms. That’s especially true after the special shoutout he received from Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson following his commitment.

Francis Mauigoa’s NIL value grew during recruitment

Overall, Francis Mauigoa has a 2,095% 14-week growth in his On3 NIL Value. The swell coincided with the fierce recruiting battle that was going on between the Hurricanes, Volunteers and Crimson Tide. Francis Mauigoa now ranks No. 14 in the High School Football NIL Rankings.

The On3 NIL Valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date.

The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time and what his expected annual value is.

The High School Football NIL Rankings is the first of its kind and the defacto NIL ranking of the top 100 high school football players ranked by market valuation.

Mauigoa should do well in NIL market

It’s believed Francis Mauigoa has a NIL lawyer representing him. So, that’s another factor that has to be considered when looking at his value on the NIL market. Plus, now he’s made his commitment, it will be easier to iron out a NIL deal with a collective or other individuals.

NIL insiders also say Francis Mauigoa will be highly marketable, especially within the Polynesian community. He is originally from ‘Ili’ili, American Samoa, and he is the highest-ranked player from the region in quite some time.

Mauigoa ranks as the No. 10 overall player in the country, according to the On3 Consensus. Along with his five-star status, he’s the No. 2 offensive tackle and the second-best recruit from the Sunshine State.

Furthermore, it doesn’t hurt that Mauigoa picked Miami. The Canes are a program with major recruiting momentum and a fan base aching to return to glory with the funds to support their student-athletes.
