Rhoback has inked its final major NIL deal ahead of the college football season.

The apparel company has signed Jalen Milroe to a multi-year agreement. The Alabama quarterback becomes the latest player to ink an exclusive apparel deal with the company. He joins his teammate Will Anderson, Notre Dame‘s Michael Mayer and Texas running back Bijan Robinson as a brand ambassadors for the apparel company.

As part of the deal, he will be compensated and have an opportunity to earn commission for sales he drives in. Plus, receive a substantial amount of gear. The other unique aspect of signing with the company is content creation. Rhoback is in the process of creating a media house. Athletes can work with the apparel company on brand messaging, along with content creation for social media channels.

“I am excited to have Rhoback as my official apparel sponsor for the next couple of seasons and to become a leading face of the Rhoback U college athlete program,” Milroe said in a press release. “As one of the fastest growing activewear brands in the country, Rhoback immediately stood out by setting the standard with the quality of their apparel and their trendsetting content.

“I can’t wait to help spread the #craveactivity lifestyle with the fans and the broader Tuscaloosa community.”

As for the exclusive apparel aspect of the partnership, the deal expires once they reach the NFL. Rhoback is an activewear brand, meaning its athletes are open to signing on with business or formal apparel companies.

Jalen Milroe’s NIL potential

While most of Rhoback U’s core athletes are probably headed to the NFL Draft following the season, the company has tabbed Milroe because of the value he can bring in the future. Currently the backup behind Heisman winner Bryce Young, Milroe is currently entering his second season with the Crimson Tide.

The former four-star recruit is battling freshman Ty Simpson for the backup job and could potentially start for Alabama next season. In just four games last season, the former top-100 prospect threw for 41 yards and a touchdown.

“Jalen is doing some really good things,” Alabama coach Nick Saban said back in April. “I really am encouraged by the progress that he’s made. He makes a lot of plays. He’s got a much better command of the offense. He’s much more confident. I think he makes a lot better decisions because of the confidence and the knowledge and experience that he has.”

He also showed his big-play ability at A-Day. He threw a 52-yard deep ball and he also showed off what he can offer in the run game. The quarterback finished 11 of 23 passing for 149 yards to go with a touchdown and an interception.

Milroe has kept his NIL partnerships to a minimum, but he has launched a merchandise line. Dubbed “The Mil Ticket,” fans can purchase anything from T-shirts to leggings to backpacks.

The Katy, Texas, native holds an On3 NIL evaluation of $134k. That’s only going to grow as his profile in Tuscaloosa does. With more than 60,000 social media followers, he holds a per post value of $774.
