Nebraska's Jordy Bahl signs NIL deal with Midwest Bank
Despite suffering a season-ending injury on Opening Day, Jordy Bahl continues to capitalize in the NIL space.
The Nebraska pitcher has signed an NIL deal with Midwest Bank. Bahl appeared in a promotional video announcing the partnership, her latest since transferring from Oklahoma prior to this season.
“Community means something different to everyone,” Bahl said in the video. “But for me, it means cheering on those around you during the good times and helping them out during the tough times.”
Bahl’s deal with Midwest Bank is the latest addition to her NIL portfolio after deciding to come back home to Nebraska. With 161,000 followers on social media – including 102,000 on Instagram – she recently announced a partnership with EA Sports promoting the upcoming College Football 25 video game. She also has deals with Anderson Ford of Lincoln and Mizuno as part of her growing portfolio.
Bahl arrived in Lincoln as a highly touted transfer following a decorated career at Oklahoma. In fact, after she signed, the Omaha Storm Chasers hosted “Jordy Bahl Day” through an NIL deal to help celebrate her arrival. During her time in Norman, Bahl won at least a share of the Big 12 Pitcher of the Year award in both seasons and earned conference Freshman of the Year honors in 2022.

However, a torn ACL in the season opener during the Puerto Vallarta Classic meant Bahl would miss the 2024 season. She later announced her plans to redshirt the 2024 campaign, giving her two more years of eligibility.
Jordy Bahl: I’m ‘looking forward to a season of growth and learning from a different point of view’
When Bahl committed to Nebraska, she made it clear the decision didn’t have anything to do with her time at Oklahoma. Quite simply, she wanted to return home, as she said in her announcement.
On the whole, Bahl amassed a 44-2 record in the circle as a Sooner to go with 397 career strikeouts and a 0.97 ERA. The plan was for her to bolster the Nebraska rotation, but the injury cut things short. Still, the plan is for her to be back with the Huskers in 2024 after taking her redshirt year.
“With a heart thankful for God’s plan and timing, I will be redshirting this year and looking forward to a season of growth and learning from a different point of view,” Bahl wrote in a post on her social media pages. “I’m thankful for the support of my family, friends, coaches and staff. I’m truly blessed to have so many wonderful and loving people in my life.”
