Florida State's Keon Coleman releases apparel following breakout performance
Keon Coleman showed the value Sunday night of adding talent from the transfer portal.
Before the former Michigan State star made the decision to enter the portal and ultimately land in Tallahassee, the Seminoles were expected to compete for a College Football Playoff berth. But the receiver showed why his addition could make all the difference this year in his first game at Florida State.
The receiver had nine catches for 122 yards and three touchdowns, leading the Seminoles to 45-24 blowout win over LSU in the top-10 matchup.
Coleman is now taking steps to capitalize on the moment. After adding roughly 13,000 social media followers this weekend, he has released apparel. Playing on Leon County, where Florida State is located, the former four-star prospect has released T-shirts and long-sleeve shirts featuring the phrase “Keon County” in garnet and gold.
The shirts feature an outline with the state of Florida along with an “Established in 2023 moniker.” Prices range from $35 to $50. Thanks to NIL, athletes are now able to turn a profit from their own merchandise.
The website also includes other items, such as Keon Coleman apparel that includes a “KC.”
