Angel Reese, Flau'jae Johnson, Alexis Morris sign NIL deal with Raising Cane's
Days after LSU won its first national championship in women’s basketball, the team’s top three scorers and head coach will partner with the fast-food restaurant chain Raising Cane’s to be crew members for a day.
Angel Reese announced on Twitter Tuesday she, Alexis Morris and Flau’jae Johnson, plus coach Kim Mulkey, will work the drive-through window at the Raising Cane’s franchise at 3313 Highland Road in Baton Rogue, Louisiana.
Reese said their shift will start at 10:30 a.m. CT Wednesday. LSU’s players have had numerous name, image and likeness opportunities this season, particularly Reese and Johnson, and this is the NIL deal.
Reese has announced nearly 20 NIL partnerships, including with national brands such as Bose, Coach, Discord, JanSport, McDonald’s, Outback Steakhouse, Sonic, Xfinity and Wingstop. She goes by the nickname “Bayou Barbie,” a name for which IP attorney Darren Heitner has filed a trademark application on her behalf.
Reese’s On3 NIL Valuation climbed Tuesday to $876,000, which is No. 3 in women’s college basketball and No. 31 in the On3 NIL 100 – which is the first of its kind and defacto NIL ranking of the top 100 high school and college athletes ranked by their On3 NIL Valuation.
Johnson is a multitalented freshman who raps. She has appeared on “America’s Got Talent” and “America’s Got Talent: All-Stars.” Johnson has partnered with companies such as LG Electronics, Meta, Powerade and PUMA. The arena DJ played her song “Big 4” after LSU defeated No. 2 seed Iowa in the national championship game on Sunday, 102-85.
Johnson also had a big boost in her On3 NIL Valuation this week. She’s currently No. 50 in the ON3 NIL 100 with a valuation of $752,000.
Reese recorded yet another double-double in the victory – her 34th of the season – with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Morris has 21 points and nine assists in the win. Johnson recorded 10 assists and seven rebounds.

Previous Raising Cane’s NIL campaigns
Raising Cane’s has franchise locations throughout the country. The restaurant chain has previously partnered with Miami basketball players Haley and Hanna Cavinder, as well as former Georgia quarterback Stetson Bennett IV. Everett Sports Management represents Bennett and the Cavinders.
After Bennett led Georgia to its second consecutive national championship, he returned to a Raising Cane’s location in Athens, where he made an appearance after the Bulldogs won a national title the previous season. The quarterback wore a Raising Cane’s T-shirt and worked as a cashier.
“Round 2 as cashier going great!” the company posted on Twitter. “At this point, he’s a professional.”
A new Raising Cane’s location opened in Miami Beach. The Cavinder sisters visited the location as part of an activation on TikTok.
