Miami EDGE Jayden Wayne signed with Rosenhaus Sports for representation in name, image and likeness opportunities. He announced the news on Twitter Tuesday night.

“I’m EXCITED to announce that I am signing with @rosenhaussports for NIL Representation,” he tweeted.

Wayne is a 6-foot-6, 245-pound EDGE ranked No. 85 nationally, according to the On3 Industry Ranking. In July 2022, he committed to Miami after he also received offers from Georgia, LSU, Oregon and Washington.

Wayne is from Tacoma, Washington, but he attended IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, where numerous elite athletes across multiple sports have attended. The sports and media conglomerate Endeavor Group Holdings recently agreed to sell IMG Academy to the private equity group BPEA EQT for $1.25 billion.

Rosenhaus Sports is a Miami Beach, Florida-based agency founded by longtime sports agent Drew Rosenhaus, who established the agency in 1988 when he was 22 years old. The agency’s website says it has negotiated contracts valued at more than $7 billion combined over more than 30 years. Rosenhaus graduated from Miami in 1987 before attending law school at Duke.

Wayne tagged Rosenhaus Sports NFL/NIL agent Shawn O’Dare in his tweet. Rosenhaus Sports lists 11 employees on the football page of its website. O’Dare was a walk-on wide receiver at Miami last decade.

Jayden Wayne’s other NIL opportunities

Similar to many college athletes who have signed NIL deals, Wayne’s Twitter bio features promotions for several of his partnerships. He tagged LifeWallet Sports, which is part of Miami businessman John Ruiz‘s company LifeWallet. Through his companies, Ruiz has been one of the most public financiers of NIL deals, most famously through his announced two-year, $800,000 deal with Kansas State-to-Miami transfer guard Nijel Pack.

Wayne also tagged the NIL collective Canes Connection, and he wrote that he’s an athlete who’s part of the collective’s Canes Club. He lists a Gmail account for interested parties to contact regarding potential NIL opportunities.

Miami’s football program went 5-7 in the 2022 season, which was coach Mario Cristobal‘s first at his alma mater. Cristobal played offensive tackle for the Hurricanes in the 1980s and ’90s, winning two national championships with the program as a player.

Wayne is part of Miami’s 2023 recruiting class that ranks No. 6 nationally, according to the On3 Industry Rankings. Alabama, Georgia, Texas, Ohio State and LSU are the five schools ranked ahead of Miami. The Hurricanes received commitments from two five-star recruits and 13 four-star prospects in their 25-player recruiting class.
