The M Den, through its relationship with Michigan’s Valiant Management, continues to push the envelope when it comes to creative NIL opportunities for Wolverine student-athletes.

The M Den – known as the official merchandise retailer of Michigan athletics – unveiled a new limited edition trading card on Wednesday celebrating the 339 combined yards by Wolverine running backs Blake Corum and Donovan Edwards.

According to The M Den, the card is a unique autographed “Michigan Moments” feature with only 250 total printed and signed. It’s available for pre-order now and goes – ironically – for $339.

Edwards ran for 173 yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries, while Corum had 28 attempts for 166 yards and two scores of his own. Coach Jim Harbaugh’s vision of two great backs and an elite offensive line was on full display in the blowout victory over Penn State.

“I think they really kind of propel each other,” Harbaugh said after the game. “The offensive line knows that if they give Blake space, Donovan space, that any kind of crack, they’re going to make the most of it. You can’t have two guys that are happier about the way their offensive line comes off the ball than Donovan Edwards and Blake Corum. They’re both … it’s the ultimate team sport, and they’re big fans of each other. I can tell you that.”

Expect cards to sell quickly

This is hardly the first limited edition trading card that’s been produced to celebrate Michigan Moments by The M Den and Valiant Management.

Earlier this season, starting quarterback J.J. McCarthy teamed with The M Den to release a trading card celebrating his first start at quarterback for the Wolverines.

That card came in two different versions – autographed and blank. The signed version that went for $100 sold out in just a few hours.

With fans excited about Michigan’s fast start, it won’t be a surprise if the Corum and Edwards cards sell out also in a few short hours.

It’s also another great example of student-athletes and businesses partnering to strike while the iron is hot from an interest standpoint. Earlier this week, Tennessee receiver Jalin Hyatt executed a NIL deal celebrating his five touchdown receptions against Alabama for a co-licensed line of apparel.

Blake Corum, Donovan Edwards have big On3 NIL Valuations

The cards are just additional examples of how excited Michigan fans are about their star running backs.

Blake Corum currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $796,000. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets the standard market NIL value for high school and college athletes. The On3 NIL Valuation calculates the optimized NIL opportunity for athletes relative to the overall NIL market and projects out to as long as 12 months into the future.

Along with his agreement with The M Den, Corum also has NIL deals with CLR Academy, Michigan Army National Guard, Wolverine Boots and others. He’s quickly becoming one of the most marketable athletes in college sports. Corum’s NIL value should continue to climb with the Wolverines in the hunt for the College Football Playoffs.

Donovan Edwards currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $173,000. However, he’s seen a 207% increase in his value over the past 14 weeks.
