Michigan Wolverine stars appear in new NIL commercial ahead of College Football Playoff
Some NIL deals simply make sense. That’s especially true when the agreements involve some of the top players of the College Football Playoff bound-Michigan Wolverines.
The Mike Morse Law Firm announced Monday it had agreed to NIL deals with Michigan EDGE Mike Morris and offensive lineman Olusegun Oluwatimi. Morris was recently named Big Ten Defensive Linemen of the Year. Oluwatimi won the Rimington Award for the nation’s best center and the Outland Trophy for the country’s best interior offensive lineman.
Offensive lineman Trevor Keegan, defensive lineman Kris Jenkins and linebacker Junior Colson also signed NIL deals with the Michigan-based firm. The terms of the deal were not released.
This is the second time Morris has appeared in a commercial for Mike Morse Law Firm. In early November, Morris got to put his acting skills to use in a commercial with Morse.
The new campaign will encompass TV commercials, along with social media posts and billboards across the Detroit metropolitan area. The commercials launch just ahead of Michigan’s College Football Playoff matchup against TCU.
“The response to our initial NIL partnership with Mike Morris has been overwhelming, so the idea to expand upon it was a no-brainer,” Morse said in a statement to On3. “We’re thrilled to support these incredible, student-athletes and work with them on unique ways to promote the Mike Morse Law Firm brand.
“This team has made such an impact on the local community. I can’t think of a better way to ring in the New Year than with a Wolverine win.”
Michigan stars have high On3 NIL Valuations
Mike Morris has an On3 NIL Valuation of $325,000, which puts him at No. 114 in the College Football NIL Rankings.

Olusegun Oluwatimi also has a large On3 NIL Valuation of $123,000. He’s seen a 634% increase in his value since October when cemented his stock as one of the best linemen in the country. Junior Colson’s On3 NIL Valuation is $86,000, followed by Jenkins at $58,000 and Keegan at $55,000.
The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athlete’s projected annual value (PAV).
A proprietary algorithm, the On3 NIL Valuation establishes the overall NIL market and projected 12-month growth rate by measuring two categories, Brand Value Index and Roster Value Index.
The Brand Value Index measures the national licensing and sponsorship market. The Roster Value Index collects data from all school Collectives into a proprietary Roster Management software. Brand Value and Roster Value are combined to create the overall NIL market.
Using the overall NIL market size, the On3 NIL Valuation calculates an athlete’s Brand Value and Roster Value by using dynamic data points targeting three primary categories:
+ Performance
+ Influence
+ Exposure
While the algorithm includes deal data, it does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals athletes have completed to date, nor does it set an athlete’s NIL valuation for their entire career. The On3 NIL Valuation calculates the optimized NIL opportunity for athletes relative to the overall NIL market and projects out to as long as 12 months into the future. The On3 NIL Valuation is publicly available. Performance, Influence, and Exposure ratings along with the athlete’s personal Brand Value Index and Roster Value Index are available only to the athlete in the “Athlete Verified” private dashboard on the On3 Athlete Network.
