Missouri five-star QB commit Matt Zollers inks NIL deal with Leaf Trading Cards
Matt Zollers is the latest to join a growing fraternity of high school quarterbacks.
The Missouri commit and the five-star quarterback, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, has become the latest top recruit to ink an NIL deal with Leaf Trading Cards, On3 has learned. The No. 31 overall prospect in his class will be featured in future card drops.
Zollers’ trading card deal comes a week after he inked an NIL deal with Westwood Home Services. In exchange for commercial appearances and social media collaborations, Zollers was handed the keys to a Dodge Challenger for his final months at Spring-Ford High School.
Now the 6-foot-3.5, 203-pound quarterback will have his own trading card. He joins USC quarterback commit Julian Lewis, Florida quarterback DJ Lagway, Tennessee quarterback commit George MacIntyre and 2027 quarterback Peyton Houston as the high schoolers to have deals with Leaf. Full terms of the agreement between Zollers and Leaf were not disclosed.
Zollers is repped in NIL by Aurum Sports’ agent Joe Gazza. Pennsylvania is one of 37 local athletic associations that allow athletes to participate in NIL deals on the high school level. The top-ranked recruit in Pennsylvania is building out his NIL portfolio before he even arrives at Mizzou.
Matt Zollers locked in with Missouri
He’s still in communication with Pitt and Penn State, but he’s been locked in with Mizzou since his commitment to the Tigers in April. Set to compete at the Elite 11 Finals, Matt Zollers is the No. 5 quarterback in the 2025 cycle.

Zollers threw with impressive velocity and drove the ball to all levels with ease,” On3’s Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power wrote about his performance at the Elite 11 Regionals. “The arm looked live and loose. The Missouri pledge is known as a functional mover and flashed some of the quickest feet of the group.”
Mat Zollers attended last month’s On3 Elite Series, a seminar educating the top 2025 high school football recruits on NIL, entrepreneurship, and planning for life after football. As a junior at Spring-Ford, he threw for a school-record 2,917 yards with 37 touchdowns to two interceptions in 2023.
Missouri beat out Alabama, Georgia, Penn State and Pittsburgh in his recruitment. Zollers said the difference maker was his relationships in Columbia.
“It was definitely the connections,” he recently told On3’s Blue and White Illustrated about the decision. “I just clicked differently with the coaching staff and the players that they already have there, as well as the guys that they’re recruiting there now. It’s just where I felt most comfortable. The connections were my No. 1 thing, and I fell back on that.”
