As Nazir Stackhouse and Drew Bobo get ready for the 2024 season at Georgia, they’re also teaming up off the field through NIL.

The two Bulldogs inked NIL deals with Prolific Sports Lab on Wednesday, the company announced. They will help promote the NXT Footguard 2.0, a product designed to help protect athletes from getting stepped on and suffering foot injuries. Football players at multiple schools, including Michigan and Florida, use the product.

Both Stackhouse and Bobo have dealt with foot injuries during their careers. Their experience will be part of their deal with Prolific Sports Lab, which was orchestrated by Gaines Group Activations.

“Our goal with the NXT Footguard 2.0 is to offer top-tier protection and revolutionary injury prevention,” said Nicholas Coppola, Prolific Sports Lab found and CEO, in a statement. “I believe almost every athlete has gone through the pain of getting their foot stepped on.

“With this product, athletes no longer have to suffer from career setbacks caused by foot injuries during games or practice. We are truly proud and honored to make a product that helps athletes stay on the field playing the game they love.”

Stackhouse and Bobo – son of UGA offensive coordinator Mike Bobo – are the latest Georgia players to partner with an injury-prevention company. Wide receiver Arian Smith landed an NIL deal with Caddix Cleats in March to promote its Smartstud technologies, aimed at preventing knee and ankle injuries.

It’s another foray into the NIL space for Stackhouse, an All-SEC defensive lineman a year ago. He also headlined JBL’s influencer program alongside LSU women’s basketball star Flau’jae Johnson and Kansas men’s basketball standout Hunter Dickinson. With 83,000 followers on social media – including 21,000 on X – Stackhouse ranks No. 301 in the On3 College Football NIL Rankings.

Stackhouse was eligible to declare for the 2024 NFL Draft this past season, but opted to return to Georgia for one more season thanks to the COVID-19 waiver. He’s coming off back-to-back impressive seasons in Athens, including a career-high two sacks to go with 24 total tackles as a senior in 2023.

While it’s still early, Stackhouse is also generating some way-too-early 2025 NFL Draft buzz. In CBS Sports’ first mock draft shortly after the 2024 draft ended, he came in as the No. 31 overall pick, and he’ll have plenty of opportunities to improve his stock this coming season.
