Nebraska's Brice Matthews, Max Anderson promote Lincoln Airport
Nebraska junior infielders Brice Matthews and Max Anderson promoted the Lincoln Airport in a recent advertisement through a pair of name, image and likeness partnerships.
The two players wear their Cornhusker uniforms in the video in an example of players receiving approval to utilize university marks and IP in their marketing agreements. Using a hashtag, Matthews tweeted that Lincoln Airport, which is also known by its three-letter code LNK, is the official airport of the Huskers.
A 16-second video features Anderson and Matthews riding an escalator. As they near the top of the escalator, Anderson spills baseballs out of his open backpack.
“Traveling can be rough,” the narrator says in a voiceover. “Just ask Husker baseball stars Brice Matthews and Max Anderson. But with shorter lines, better parking and less overall hassle, LNK makes flying a whole lot easier.”
As the baseballs from Anderson’s backpack reach the bottom of the escalator, a man says on the airport loudspeaker, “Please keep baseballs under control at all times.”
“LNK now lets you pack your bags for 10 popular vacation spots,” Matthews tweeted. “From big cities to beaches to bbq, there’s no shortage of things to do, all from your local airport! Check out all the nonstop destinations at GoFlyLNK.com.”
The Twitter account for the Lincoln Airport quote-tweeted Matthews’ tweet, adding hashtags for cities such as Atlanta, Austin, Dallas, Minneapolis, Nashville and Orlando. The airport provides service to 10 “major international airports,” according to its website. Additional destinations include Chicago, Houston and Las Vegas.
