EDGE On3 NIL Valuation AFI

Just like the NFL, top EDGEs are one of the most highly sought-after positions in college football.

On3 tracks the top 15 EDGEs according to the On3 Industry Ranking, breaking down the average EDGE On3 NIL Valuation.

The On3 NIL Valuation is calculated by combining Roster Value and NIL. Roster value is the value an athlete has by being a member of his or her team at his or her school, which factors into the role of NIL collectives.

Here is a full breakdown:

EDGEs 1-5: Average $240K

Isaiah Gibson (Georgia commit), Ari Watford (Clemson commit), Iose Epenesa, Javion Hilson (Florida State commit) and Jared Smith are the top five EDGEs according to the On3 Industry Ranking. The group has an average On3 NIL Valuation of $240,000.

Gibson is the only five-star EDGE in the 2025 cycle. He committed to Lincoln Riley and the USC Trojans in March, however, he flipped to Georgia in late June. A Warner Robins, Georgia, native, the 6-foot-3, 263-pound pass rusher posted 17 sacks and 55 pressures in 2023.

“With Georgia, anything is possible,” Gibson told On3’s Chad Simmons. “Georgia is just a great place. The overall way that Coach Smart runs the program, I feel like it is amazing. It’s remarkable, honestly.

“There is a lot I like about Georgia. I have always had them high on my list. They prepare you to be your best. Georgia puts players into the NFL.”

Miami and Utah are in the mix for Epenesa – the On3 Industry’s No. 37 overall recruit – according to On3’s Steve Wiltfong. An Iowa legacy recruit, he already visited Missouri, Penn State and the Hawkeyes.

Four-star EDGE Jared Smith Florida State, South Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee in June. He also stopped at Ole Miss in May.

EDGES 6-10: Average $191K

Justin Hill, Lance Jackson (Texas commit), Zahir Mathis (Ohio State commit), Bryce Davis and Darren Ikinnagbon (Georgia commit) round out the top 10 EDGEs in the 2025 cycle. They command an average On3 NIL Valuation of $191,000.

One of the top uncommitted pass rushers still on the board, Hill commits on Wednesday and is down to Alabama, Ohio State, Oregon or USC. He is still communicating with multiple schools ahead of decision day. Simmons and Wiltfong logged predictions for the 6-foot-3, 220-pound EDGE to land with the Buckeyes.

Davis is scheduled to make his decision on July 20. Currently, the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine gives Georgia the edge at 77.2%, followed by Duke (7.3%), South Carolina (5.3%) and Clemson (3.7%).

EDGES 11-15: Average $156K

EDGEs Zion Grady (Ohio State commit), Damien Shanklin, Smith Orogbo (Texas commit), Christopher Burgess (Notre Dame commit) and Jesse Harrold (LSU commit) have an average On3 NIL Valuation of $156,000.

Shanklin is the only pass rusher in the group who has yet to announce his commitment. Scheduled to commit on Friday, LSU is the school to watch for the top-100 prospect out of Indianapolis. The Tigers are working to hold off Alabama and Ohio State. Initially set to commit in late August, he moved up his commitment to July.

“It was amazing,” the top-ranked prospect out of Indiana told Wiltfong after his official visit to Baton Rouge. “I was able to sit down and chill with the staff and players and I also feel very bought in there. Literally talked to the whole staff this weekend because the bond is there and also enjoyed my time with the recruits. But everything was great about the visit. Nothing but positive energy.”

Orogbo just committed to Texas on Monday as the Longhorns beat out Oklahoma. He’s ranked by On3 as the No. 26 prospect in the nation and No. 3 EDGE.
