Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers releases custom apparel ahead of 2023 season
Quinn Ewers is growing his NIL brand.
The Texas quarterback rolled out his new custom merchandise Monday night across social media. Produced by Vapor Apparel, the clothing prominently features his trademark which is a silhouette of Ewers throwing a pass.
He started 10 games, throwing for just over 2,100 yards while having 15 touchdowns and six interceptions in his first year back home in Texas. After beating out Hudson Card for the starting job, he finished the season with a 58.1 completion percentage.
Fans will have the option to purchase performance merchandise created with a high-performance moisture-wicking fabric and built in UPF 50+ sun protection. The “Go” sweatshirt comes in three different colors and is priced at $50. The long-sleeved T-shirt is on sale in gray or white with a retail price of $45.
The same material is able to be purchased in short-sleeve form, too. The “Glance” T-shirt is made of ultra-soft fabric and comes in a slate color.
Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian shut down any talk of a quarterback competition at the end of spring ball, naming Ewers his starter.
“Right now it’s Quinn Ewers’ chance,” Kirk Herbstreit told On3’s J.D. Pickell at the On3 NIL Elite Series. “It’s his opportunity. It’s his team. Until (Ewers) leaves, I think that’ll be the case. Then, we’ll see what Arch can do down the road.”
Growing portfolio of NIL deals
Ewers has been a test case in the NIL era, and he’s found plenty of success. He enrolled at Ohio State a year early to land a deal with GT Sports Marketing worth $1.4 million because the state of Texas does not allow high school players to be compensated off NIL. His first move in NIL was with Holy Beverages and Hope Squad.
Represented by Sportstars and Rubicon, the quarterback signed at least six endorsement deals last season. He launched a partnership with Metabillia to create digital collectibles for fans. The agreement was somewhere in the seven-figure range, per ESPN’s Pete Thamel.

Quinn Ewers’ On3 NIL Valuation
The Texas quarterback has a $1.2 million On3 NIL Valuation. The evaluation ranks in the top 15 of college football. It also sits at No. 19 in the On3 NIL 100, which is the first of its kind and defacto NIL ranking of the top 100 high school and college athletes ranked by their On3 NIL Valuation.
Ewers has been able to build out a strong rolodex of endorsements deals due to his social media platform. The 6-foot-3, 205-pound quarterback has amassed nearly 210,000 followers.
The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets the standard market NIL value for high school and college athletes. A proprietary algorithm, the On3 NIL Valuation calculates an athlete’s NIL value using dynamic data points targeting three primary categories: performance, influence and exposure.
About On3 NIL Valuation, Brand Value, Roster Value
While the algorithm includes deal data, it does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals athletes have completed to date, nor does it set an athlete’s NIL valuation for their entire career. The On3 NIL Valuation calculates the optimized NIL opportunity for athletes relative to the overall NIL market and projects out to as long as 12 months into the future.
