South Carolina QB Spencer Rattler to sign autographs at minor league game
South Carolina fifth-year senior quarterback Spencer Rattler will sign autographs Thursday night through an NIL opportunity held in association with a home game for the Columbia Fireflies, which is the Single-A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals. Rattler will sign autographs from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. ET.
The Columbia Fireflies announced Rattler’s public appearance and autograph session on their Twitter account.
“The man, the myth, the legend will be at Segra Park…,” the account tweeted.
The NIL collective Garnet Trust helped facilitate the NIL opportunity.
Tickets to Thursday’s game between the Columbia Fireflies and Augusta GreenJackets are still available. The first pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. ET.
Garnet Trust launched in November 2021 to help facilitate NIL opportunities for South Carolina athletes.
Spencer Rattler’s NIL valuation, NIL deals
Rattler has an On3 NIL Valuation of $1.1 million. His On3 NIL Valuation ranks No. 20 in the On3 NIL 100 and No. 14 among current college football players.
In the past two months, the quarterback has held a football camp and hosted a meet and greet at car wash in Columbia. He also re-signed with the Garnet Trust collective this winter after deciding to return for a final season.
Rattler is a former five-star prospect from the 2019 recruiting class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking. He was ranked as the No. 15 recruit nationally and No. 1 quarterback prospect in his recruiting class.

Rattler committed to Oklahoma to play for then-coach Lincoln Riley. He played for the Sooners for three season before transferring to South Carolina after the 2021 season. He appeared in 23 games for Oklahoma in three seasons. As a redshirt freshman in 2020, Rattler completed 67.5% of his attempts for 3,031 yard, 28 touchdowns and seven interceptions. He also rushed for six touchdowns.
In the 2021 season, Rattler lost the starting job to then-freshman Caleb Williams, who threw for 1,912 yards, 21 touchdowns and four interceptions, while rushing for 442 yards and six touchdowns.
In his first season at South Carolina, Rattler played 13 games for the first time in his career. He completed 66.2% of his attempts for 3,026 yards, 18 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. The Gamecocks finished with an 8-5 record in coach Shane Beamer‘s second season in Columbia.
The 6-foot-1, 218-pound quarterback threw for a South Carolina-record six touchdown passes and 438 yards in a 63-38 win over then-No. 5 Tennessee last November. He was selected as the Walter Camp National Offensive Player of the Week after the performance.
