Ahead of the college football season, Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers has signed on as the new face of Rhoback.

The apparel company has emerged as a major supporter of the NIL Era since July 2021. Ewers is the latest college football star to sign an agreement with the company. He joins Clemson quarterback Cade KlubnikAlabama quarterback Jalen Milroe and Penn State running back Nick Singleton.

Full terms of the contract were not disclosed, however, On3 has learned the deal is valued between $100,000 to $150,000.

“I am incredibly excited to be working with Rhoback as my official apparel sponsor and to become a leading face of their Rhoback U program,” Ewers said in a statement. “It’s exciting to see their presence really take off within the college athletics community. Their products are the most comfortable I have worn, and it’s been such a fun experience being able to create some awesome content with their team.”

Rhoback launching licensed apparel

As part of the deal, Quinn Ewers will have an opportunity to earn a commission for the sales he drives. The quarterback will also receive a substantial amount of gear. Ewers’ agreement with the brand is even more valuable, as Rhoback is launching its licensed gameday collective. The company has secured licensing agreements with Arkansas, Alabama, Texas, LSU, Virginia Tech, Virginia and Ohio State.

Ewers will star in social media advertisements throughout the season while wearing Texas-branded Rhoback gear. He threw for 3,479 yards with 22 touchdowns and just six interceptions last season while leading the Longhorns to a College Football Playoff berth.

“We are excited to join Quinn Ewer’s team as his official apparel sponsor,” Rhoback said in a statement. “The Heisman candidate and new face of Rhoback U will lead the program this fall and help set a new standard for what it means to be a premier collegiate athlete. Quinn’s leadership, demeanor, and love for the game immediately stood out to us.

“Quinn’s qualities will make a big appearance within our ‘Earn It’ campaign this Fall and we couldn’t be more excited to introduce them to the Rhoback community.”

Quinn Ewers’ massive On3 NIL Valuation

Along with a partnership with the Longhorn-driven NIL collective the Texas One Fund, Quinn Ewers signed an endorsement deal with Nicholas Air in April. The deal calls for Ewers to have hours using the fleet of private jets for travel, training and philanthropy.

He launched a partnership with Metabillia last year to create digital collectibles for fans. The agreement was in the seven-figure range, per ESPN’s Pete Thamel. The quarterback also inked an exclusive agreement with Panini America.

Ewers is on the cover of EA Sports College Football 25, a deal valued at over $200,000. He holds a $1.7 million On3 NIL Valuation, which is No. 5 in the college football NIL rankings. His valuation is No. 6  in the On3 NIL 100, the first of its kind and defacto NIL ranking of the top 100 high school and college athletes ranked by their On3 NIL Valuation.

“Despite what some fans and media believe, there is not an unlimited amount of money being deployed to manage rosters,” said Shannon Terry, the founder and CEO of On3. “Any model – whether it’s today’s broken NCAA ‘student-athlete’ construct or media rights sharing through employment, which is almost a certainty in the near future – demands efficiency based on the athlete and school knowing the athlete’s respective market value.”

The On3 NIL Valuation is calculated by combining Roster Value and personal NIL. Roster value is the value an athlete has by being a member of his or her team at his or her school, which factors into the role of NIL collectives. NIL in an athlete’s name, image and likeness and the value it could bring to regional and national brands outside of the scope of NIL collectives.
