Veteran college defensive backs coach Taver Johnson expected to be hired by Philadelphia Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles are expected to hire veteran secondary coach Taver Johnson, sources tell On3.
Johnson spent the last year working at Eastern Michigan, where he helped the Eagles improve to 9-4 after finishing 7-6 in 2021 and 2-4 in 2020. Johnson previously worked in the NFL with the Las Vegas Raiders (2020-21) and as a defensive backs coach for college teams like Ohio State (2007-11 and 2018), Purdue (2014-16) and Arkansas (2012-13).
Johnson, 50, has also been a college defensive coordinator at Temple (2017) and Miami (Ohio) (2005-06).
