Marketing agency Triumph NIL signs 13 Virginia Tech football players
The sports marketing agency Triumph NIL announced Wednesday that it has signed 13 Virginia Tech football players.
The latest football players to sign include quarterbacks Kyron Drones and William Watson III, running backs Jeremiah Coney and Bhayshul Tuten, wide receivers Ali Jennings, Jaylen Jones and Jaylin Lane, and tight end Dae’Quan Wright. On the defensive side of the ball, defensive backs Antonio Cotman Jr., Derrick Canteen and Mansoor Delane, defensive lineman Kyree Moyston and linebacker Pheldarius Payne signed with Triumph NIL.
“The Triumph family has taken another huge leap forward with the addition of these amazing athletes,” Triumph NIL parter and CEO Kelly Woolwine said in a statement. “The men and women student-athletes of Triumph combine to create an overwhelming force of presence, personality and positive influence. Our team is working non-stop to synchronize and orchestrate these incredible talents into one platform. Fans will soon have unprecedented access to the most robust and unique organization of student-athletes in the country.”
More than 60 Virginia Tech athletes have signed agreements with Triumph NIL. Thirty-two football players signed with the sports marketing agency last year. Athletes from the university’s men’s and women’s basketball, softball, men’s and women’s tennis, and wrestling programs have also signed with the agency.
“Our clients are dynamic talents and we are excited to work with them,” Triumph NIL partner and former Virginia Tech football player Brenden Hill said in a statement. “In 2023, with the help of fans, donors and the business community, we plan to continue to build a sustainable NIL infrastructure for VT athletics. We want athletes to view Virginia Tech as an ideal destination to build and grow their personal business profiles. Our goals are ambitious and we want to be equitable across sports, while delivering innovative NIL solutions for and with Hokie Nation!”

Triumph NIL provides questionnaire to Virginia Tech athletes
Last August, On3 named Triumph NIL one of the 20 most ambitious sports marketing agencies or NIL collectives in the country.
When an athlete signs with Triumph NIL, the sports marketing agency’s partners will give the athlete a questionnaire.
“We warn them ahead of time, like, ‘There’s a lot of questions on this. A lot of it’s going to seem irrelevant but just go with it. Be honest,’” Triumph NIL COO Robyn Jones said in a previous phone interview. “So we want to know about their interests. What are the things they like doing off the court?”
As one example, reigning ACC Player of the Year Liz Kitley indicated she likes cooking so she recently co-hosted a cooking class at Gourmet Pantry & Cooking School.
