Triumph NIL signs tennis players Charlotte Cartlege, Frank Thompson
The sports marketing agency Triumph NIL announced it has signed Virginia Tech tennis players Charlotte Cartledge and Frank Thompson. Triumph NIL has signed more than 60 Virginia Tech athletes, including dozens of football players, plus athletes from the school’s men’s and women’s basketball, softball and wrestling programs.
Now Triumph NIL will represent athletes from Virginia Tech’s men’s and women’s tennis programs.
Cartledge is a sophomore who appeared in 15 matches for Virginia Tech as a freshman. She posted a 7-8 record and competed as high as the Hokies’ No. 3 singles player. Cartledge earned ACC Freshman of the Week honors after she won the match point against Louisville.
Her Virginia Tech bio says she was the No. 1 player in Virginia when she attended North Cross School in Roanoke.
“I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Triumph NIL,” Cartledge said in a statement. “As a student-athlete, the experience has been very positive and professional. I’m excited to continue to represent and expand my name, image, and likeness in collaboration with Triumph!”
Thompson is a redshirt sophomore who didn’t appear in any matches in his first two seasons at Virginia Tech. He’s the son of longtime Virginia Tech coach Jim Thompson.
Like Cartledge, Frank Thompson’s online bio says he was the No. 1 high school prospect in Virginia.
“I am super excited to join forces with Triumph NIL and leverage my name, image, and likeness rights, Thompson said in a statement. “Triumph is at the forefront of the NIL landscape, and I am thrilled to work with them in my hometown and beyond.”
