Reminds Us Of

Like Oren Burks, Omarii Sanders is a tall, rangy defender with the frame to grow into a productive space linebacker. Both are around the same size, with Sanders being a bit heavier at the same stage. Burks played linebacker and tight end, while Sanders plays safety and wide receiver on Friday nights.
Team Predictions
Scouting Report
Tall, rangy athlete who shows a skill set that translates well at linebacker. Measured in at around 6-foot-3.5, 210 pounds prior to his senior season. Should be able to easily tack on more mass to his frame once in a college strength program. Lines up at safety and wide receiver for his high school team, but is an easy linebacker projection given the skill set. Shows natural range on defense. Identifies plays quickly, triggering to fly downhill. A physical striker at the point of attack. Comfortable working in space and projects to have high end cover skills as a linebacker. Not out of plays in deep coverage as a safety. Flashes his ball skills and overall athleticism while playing wide receiver. Also featured as a return man. Finished with 455 yards and six touchdowns on offense as a junior. Fared well at the Under Armour All-America Game and the Polynesian Bowl after his junior season. Participates in track and field, where he touts a very strong 6-foot-6 mark in the high jump. Will need to continue adding weight to his frame and make the transition to playing linebacker full time. Could stand to improve his lower body flexibility. Has the well-rounded skill set and background that point to a wide breadth of skill as a linebacker prospect with NFL Draft upside.
