Clemson put together another complete performance Sunday afternoon, destroying Binghamton 19-1 at Doug Kingsmore Stadium to complete the series sweep.
The Tigers pounded out 21 hits in the victory and had a pair of seven-run innings.
With the win, Clemson improves to 3-0 on the year. The Tigers return to action on Tuesday, hosting Charlotte at 4 p.m.
“A great way to finish the weekend, an exclamation mark on the weekend,” Clemson coach Erik Bakich said. “Played well, pitched well, hit well.”
Jay Dill got the start for the Tigers and pitched four scoreless innings. He struck out three and walked two while keeping the Bearcats scoreless.
Casey Tallent, Rocco Reid, Nick Clayton, Reed Garris and Joe Allen pitched well for the Tigers out of the bullpen as they allowed only one run in five innings.
For the weekend, Clemson held Binghamton to six runs in three games.
“Jay gave us four strong innings, put four zeros on the board,” Bakich said. “Overall pitching on the weekend was very good. We got quality starts, even though everyone was on a pitch count and couldn’t go deep in the game. Very, very competitive, super competitive. Gave us a chance.”
Eleven different Clemson players had at least one hit on Sunday, including Cam Cannarella and Chad Fairey, who each had four.

Cannarella, who is a freshman, is now hitting .500 on the year through the first three games of his career.
Cooper Ingle, Benjamin Blackwell and Riley Bertram also had multi-hit games for the Tigers. Ingle added a home run.
“We knew we had a good offensive team and we just saw more of what our capability is. A lot of quality at bats, a lot of hard contact,” Bakich said. “Good to see guys contributing 1 through 9. Guys off the bench contributing as well.”
After hosting Charlotte on Tuesday, Clemson will host UCF in a three-game series this coming weekend.
