Former Clemson outfielder Dylan Brewer will be continuing his baseball career at a familiar in-state school.

Brewer announced on Monday that he is transferring to South Carolina to play for Mark Kingston and the Gamecocks.

Brewer entered the transfer portal last week, shortly after Monte Lee was fired as Clemson’s head coach.

The redshirt sophomore hit .208 in 2022 with four home runs and 24 RBIs. He started 39 of Clemson’s 58 games.

While Brewer had a disappointing season this past year, he does have plenty of power and potential.

The Latta native entered the 2022 season as the No. 255 overall prospect in the 2022 MLB draft.

As a redshirt freshman in 2021, Brewer hit .207 with 10 homers and 31 RBIs.

In addition to Brewer, Jonathan French, Camden Troyer and Spencer Rich are also in the transfer portal.
